Saves me making a thread about this.
I just ran Keyes for the first time (on that toon, not me) on my rogue kin corr, who has helped various friends with Maria's AV arc. When we killed AM at thw end..I GOT the Dimensional Warder badge. So the kill must have counted as progress.
It would seem this is a bug? Or not WAI? If as the OP says, doing MoM gives no progress...how does this make sense? Either all trials with prae AVs should be counting, or they shouldn't.
All encounters versus the Praetorian Guard are meant to count towards Dimensional Warder. This is true in the Apex and Tin Mage Task Forces, and is meant to be true in the Incarnate Trials.
It's not working as intended, so feel free to submit a bug report. My guess is that it's a classic case of "Oops, I knew I forgot to do something!"
Could it be because his toon was a pure villain and they are not 'meant' to be able to get the badge? Mine was a rogue, so progress on the badge was started during Marias arc.
It's because the Mother in the Trial is not the same Mother in the arcs mechanically. It is most likely a simple case of forgetting to have a flag added to the MoM Mother to have her count the same as Arc Mother.

I was mostly asking if anyone had heard anything from the developers regarding the intentions behind MoM, whether they had confirmed one way or the other, or whether they were even aware there was a problem.

Based on how siege, antimatter, and the other praetorian AVs did not all count in the trials originally and were purposely changed to count the intent is pretty clear. Like I said, it's an oversight.

Finally got a chance to join a MoM trial today and cleared it (huzzah). It was a lot of fun but I noticed that there was no progress on my Dimensional Warder badge on a pure villain. Just wondering, is this intentional? Not 100% sure whether Malaise is done, but it seems that the defeat of Mother Mayhem at least was pretty decisive, and as far as I know pure villains can't fight her anywhere else.
I suppose I was under the impression that the whole Going Rogue/Praetoria storyline would give pure villains a chance to get Dimensional Warder, since we're at 7/14 available between RWZ TFs and incarnate trials, and MoM was the logical place to fit in a couple more.
Either way, thumbs up for the MoM trial from me.
