Help Requested- Thugs/Pain - Incranate Pools

Hi All,

On my 2nd MM but making this guy for PVP purposes so the build will be a little different than PVE. I know there is a PVP forum but there might as well not be one as questions like this will go unanswered or get a response like re-roll for psi/nrg.

Questions about incarnate selctions-

Alpha-
Cardiac has appeal b/c it will boost damage resistance which is key in zones and lower endurance without robbing damage slots.
Musculature has appeal b/c of damage and defense debuff
Alpha- has appeal b/c it will help World of Pain, other buffs. Yes I know this won't speed up my goons attacks.

I have cardiac right now but only tier 1 and saving my threads until I can decide. I have several hundred along with rares/vrares waiting on me to make up my mind.

Interface-
Reactive seems like conventional pick for obvious reasions
However, there a couple new ones like the (Degenerative) -HP that might be nice for that sneaky Stalker or other low hitpoint character

Judgement-
Pyronic is what i have in mind for now. I could see how voids -to hit and -dmg might be nice as a PBAOE so I am open here too.

Destiny- Barrier or Incand.

Lore-
No idea but thinking robotic drones or storm elemental... Pets seem much more obvious for my other toons.

Any suggestions or other tips related to Thugs/Pain in PVP would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Oracle,

I think you I actually chatted in game about this build. You were on a Stalker and I on a MM. We were in the Atlas AE getting PL'ed together.

I took a quick look in Mids' at the /Pain secondary. I can see the desire to pick up Spiritual as your Alpha slot choice. Pain's buffs are very nice, but seem to be a little long on the time it takes for them to recharge. The question that arises with Spiritual is: Can my End keep up? Off the top of my head I'm thinking an Alpha +Rech of 33% would do nicely, the 45% would be overkill IMO. Take a hard look at Spiritual: Radial Paragon.

I agree with you on the importance of World of Pain(WoP). That is a key buff in your secondary. Please don't overlook your 1 debuff - Anguishing Cry.

I know a bunch about Thugs, but little about /Pain. So instead of going on about things I know nothing about, please click the link in my signature about general Mastermind PvP.

Another thing I like to add. If you have a significant amount of +Rech in your build... would there be a need for the Leadership Pool?

WoP provides comparable +ToHit & +DMG to Tactics & Assault, but without the need to carry 2 toggles. The lack of 2 toggles would save a significant amount of End, thus opening the build to Alpha choices other than Cardiac.

Very interesting.

I'd like to take back what I said about Spiritual's 45% Rech boost being overkill.

Hey There- Yep that was me. I am always asking questions and trying to learn more either here on the forums or in the game. There is always more to learn...

You have made some outstanding suggestions and I thank you for the time and energy.

I would consider getting a flying pet. Even the Storm one for hurricane.

I added Slot enhancers to my pain build to get 50+5 bonuses where it seemed I would get some value out of them.

I'm thinking between the hurricane pet and the hit debuff proc instead of reactive you might be really crippling some players in PvP. Oddly enough once fully buffed I last much longer with my DS Pain then some other toons in PvP.
