So how does it look and will it put up with most end-game things like incarnate trials. I accept constructive criticism

Thanks for the help!

that is a tight build.

The only things I would do differently are:

I'd slot luck of the gamblers in the defense powers instead of serendipity. If you can add a little more recharge you get some very nice benefits. You probably already thought of that, just thnking out loud here...

Second, I'd frankenslot Siphon Life. it is not a huge heal, BUT on this build is a damaging heal that comes up every 4 seconds. That is more survivability that the extra s/l defense give you already high level. With some accurate healing and melee sets and a heal and dmg IO, you can get something like dmg, heal, and recharge in the 70s 80s iirc. Yes, playing with mids, I can get it to 3 seconds with the extra LotGs.

Mains - Freedom: Croatoa - 50 Fire/Psi Dom, Grandville - 50 SS/Elec Brute, Dark-Astoria - 50 Dark/Fire Scrapper, Pearline - 50 Spines/Regen Scrapper, Caffeine Girl - 50 Earth/Kin Troller

Thanks Count, I was thinking about switching out the Serendpity for the Lotg to but they are so expensive, I will probably get them eventually, Still saving up for 2 pvp io's for my elec/ss tank.

I can't view Mids at work, so can you tell me what the goal on this build is? Soft cap for S/L? Softcap for all but Psionic? Lots of recharge?

@Rylas

Kill 'em all. Let XP sort 'em out.

Not bad, but I question the slotting on a few powers. Entropic Chaos proc for example, shouldn't really be needed nor viable with Siphon Life and Energize. Dark Obliteration should get that 5th slot, if only to both better enhance and gain the +rech bonus.

For comparison, here's what I'm planning on speccing my DM/EA into, he'll be going Agility for the +Rech/+Def.

I was either just gonna use Ninja Run or Drop Dark Consumption for SJ just because Dark Consumption isnt really as useful with a secondary like Ea with alot of End Management tools.

So, after reviewing the build, I have to say, there's some quirky slotting choices. You seem to have chased down Positional Defense bonuses to make your Damage Type defenses better. Why drop all the cash on Touch of Death, when four Smashing Haymakers and one Focused Smite can get you the same defense and almost the same enhancement values? Not to mention, it opens up a lot of slots to redistribute.

It's actually pretty cheap to soft cap all of your defenses (except Psi) if you go for the right bonus types. But if it rewards Positional more, think twice about it.

I'll back up the comment about using LotG's as well. Well worth the investment and the recharge.

Here's the build I made. Mostly similar power selections. But it didn't require Maneuvers, which is too much endurance for the reward, and I skipped Overload. Tier 9's are for wussies! It's also pretty affordable and you can easily swap out Soul Tentacle for Dark Oblit.

Energy Drain is overslotted. I went with 4x LotG myself, but you could cut down to 3 slots and it would still be plenty if you frankenslot.

Consider switching to 3x Numina in Energize, I find the large +regen and +hp bonuses more valuable than spending 5 slots for the 5% recharge with DW. Throw a forth slot for a heal/rech from another set and call it a day.

As somebody mentioned already Touch of Death is very meh for a typed defense character. Consider working towards 4x kinetic combat for the smash/lethal bonus. They can be expensive, but worth it I think. I went that route in my three builder attacks, and am making up for the lack of accuracy with accuracy bonuses in other powers, plus the Kismet accuracy (to-hit) unique.

You definitely should work towards LotG x4 in your defenses, all of the bonuses up to 4 pieces are amazing. Use merits on the global, and place reasonable 'be patient' bids on the rest.

Personally, I prefer the near-ED-approach for Energy Drain. Maximize Recharge, End Mod and Defense as much as you can. This way, it's a helpful power in Boss and AV fights where you're mob count has diminished.

Not a bad idea. But I think it's truly only helpful if you're already getting a lot of HP/Regen bonuses. Just like 5% Recharge is only good if you've got a considerable amount of Rech bonuses to go with it.

I can't tell if you mean 4 slotting KC's or slotting 4 sets of KC. 4 sets would be overkill. You can get away with just 2 sets in the build I posted, and replace the remaining 2 sets of Smashing Haymakers with other sets for different bonuses. For most people, that's going to come down to budget.

YES. It's worth the investment. Just grab 5 toons and grind tips for 2 days. Serendipity is just LotG watered down and without a great global recharge.

I view EA as a layered set, not quite as much as WP or Inv, but it's still there. Primarily defense based, yes, but with some built-in resist and regen that can be added to quite effectively. My build when finished will have ~180% regen passively, ~375% when Energize is active.

I'm a little confused on how the taunt works. I know that Entropic has it but I don't see the numbers - also, how much -recharge is in it?

Entropic Arua is kind like Inviciblity except instead of giving the defense bonus or whatever it gives you more recharge, Im not exactly sure how much -recharge it actually has.

The taunt in entropic is identical to the taunt in Against All Odds - but if you use Super Speed it takes a couple seconds for them to notice you. The -recharge is -3.5% IIRC. Also, since this is a DM/EA, I have the urge to share my build (bear in mind, my DM/EA has over 1000 hours and is my "baby", so be prepared for sticker shock):

Due to the upcoming Stalker changes, I wonder if they will be able to out-damage DM/EA Brutes and Scrappers when it comes to single target DPS.

Is it really worth slotting defense in Energy Drain though? Even fully saturated I would only think it would give a few points of defense.

Mostly there for end reduction/recharge and for the +2.25% HP.
