Fire/Time Build Critique

Fair warning, this has a high probability of being pretty bad. I've never put a build together that wasn't a scrapper, tanker, or brute, so I really don't know the conventional route to go with Corrupter slotting.

Some notes about the build:

Capped Range Defense.
Melee Defense is a small purple from the cap.

I prefer going for positional defenses rather than typed since it just 'feels' sturdier to me.

Hasten and Chrono Shift (the recharge portion) are perma due to spiritual alpha...They'd be a bit shy of perma without it, but I could go cardiac or something if endurance is going to be an issue (really have no idea how that will play out yet).

Any glaring problems? I wouldn't be surprised if there are since, as I said, I really haven't got a clue when it comes to Corrupters.

EDIT - I need a KB protection slotted yet. Can probably move a slot from Rain of Fire for that (which is going to be 5x positron's blast until I can get the purples).

I don't see a whole lot wrong with your build, but it's very different from the one I'm running. You could throw in a -KB Proc pretty easily into Super Jump without sacrificing other bonuses, by the way.

This is my build, for comparison with yours. Power Build up and Farsight together with IO bonuses ensure softcap to just about everything. Went with musculature for additional damage, since his recharge was pretty solid with just IOs. I might go for one of the newer Alphas instead, however, if the boosts are right.

Concept on this toon is a hero who manipulates quantum fluctuations. Super speed is him accelerating time around himself.

Click on his data link and open it up in a new tab. Highlight the whole URL and copy and paste it into NOTEPAD ( not Wordpad or Word as it might mark up the data with unwanted stuff and screw it all up ).

Now make a copy of one of your old mids builds ( I say make a copy so we don't accidentally mess up the original ). Open up that copy of your mids build into NOTEPAD also. So now you should have 2 Notepad files open with data chunk of your build and the data from the URL you copied moments ago.

Now what you need to do is copy and paste the data chunk from the URL and replace the data chunk in your build you have open. The next thing you need to do is replace the 3 sets of numbers at the beginning of your mids build with the 3 sets of numbers in the URL you copied.

You should copy the data chunk after this line in the URL HEX&dc=

|MxDz;1499;669;1338;HEX;||DATA CHUNK from URL goes here|


The data chunk is pasted right after the 2 vertical lines ( pipes ) in your open copy of a Mids build. There is a vertical line ( pipe ) at the end of the data chunk. Make sure you DO NOT highlight that and delete it as you need it. So you data chunk should sit between this vertical lines. 2 in the front and 1 at the end.

The highlighted numbers is what you need to copy and paste to replace the 3 sets of numbers at the beginning of your mids build. This is how your build is going to start in the URL.

As you can see your 3 sets of numbers are separated by semicolons in your mids build you copied. So 1567 goes where 1499 is and 702 goes where 669 is and finally 1404 goes where 1338 is.

I am trying to make this very simple to understand and somewhat repetitive just so others less tech savvy players can follow along and do it if needed.

So in total you copying a data chunk and 3 sets of numbers from the URL you copied and pasting them to replace the data in your copied Mids build.

Once this is all done just save that copied build of mids. Do not do Save As or rename it.
Just click save.
It will save it with the old name it had. You can rename it afterwards if you like.

It will now open in Mids

This is a similar build. It has Perma hasten/Chrono, and should be close to defcap if you use PBU before Farsight. In fact you can drop the LotG +rech from Maneuvers and get the 6slot bonus

I'm looking at your build.
I will give you the perma hasten at 121.5 seconds. But I don't get perma chrono when I see a duration of 30 seconds and a recharge of 86 seconds. What numbers are not being included into this build I am missing ? Did you mean Farsight maybe ?

As VashNKnives said, Chrono's recharge buff duration is 90s. With both active, Hasten goes down to 110 or so, too

Curious about this subject as well. My fire/time is up to 33. I went a bit different direction than some of the builds posted. I hit the s/l softcap instead of range, and have near perma chrono shift, at the expense of the nuke. My personal playstyle hasn't found much use for crashing nukes.

Looking for any input on the build. My first legit attempt at a corrupter. I've found endurance to be prohibitive to this point in levelling. Proper slotting will alleviate some of that, but increasing +recharge will dampen it. I'm assuming I'll be looking at (yet) another cardiac alpha.

Also, does anyone know if the Ribosome +Resist boosts Slowed Response's resistance debuff?

I just ran an ITF and will try to run a few more to get a better feel for this fire/time build. I was tempted to opt out of Time Stop but have thought otherwise. It's a little unnerving to skip a hold power.

Anyway this is a recharge defense build. I picked Burnout and slotted it. Once finished i'll be able to cast that maybe twice per mission. During that ITF i was able to cast Farsight, Chrono Shift, Slowed Response and Rain of Fire (click Burnout) and do it all again when fighting the AVs. Poor AVs..

For incarnate I'll be going in the Agility set to increase ...you guessed it Defense and recharge.
