Technical laptop questions
I would personally go with the second. The gfx card is going to be more important than the processor, and the i5 is no joke as it is.
I currenly have a second gen i5 with integrated graphics that I play CoH on when I'm not home to play on my desktop.

Are you set on a laptop? You seem to be, and if so that is okay. If you aren't set on a laptop, you might do better money wise on a desktop. But I do not know your situation on that.
If you are set on a laptop, I'll pretty much echo what Keplar said. For roughly the same money, the second options is probably your better bet for just CoH and movies. A first generation Core i3, using only it's built in graphics (of the Core i3 CPU) ran a HD movie I have flawlessly, and that movie would stutter other systems with significant (but outdated now) discreet graphics cards. So the second generation Core i5 can handle what you are trying to throw at it.

Having to pay local prices here (in my motherland) is really, really upsetting. Most folks here think what they get and pay for are "technological bargains", but some of us know exactly what is in the States. Damn I miss my home...
Ironic that people pay extra here for parts which ARE made here by major international corporations, but people in States pay dramatically less for the same "foreign" product.
Hey folks,
). And no "vast" selection such as from Newegg.
Hope all is well.
(Preface) I live in a country with limited laptop options and serious price gauging (yay for economic conglomerates...
Basically, if prices are about the same, what should I do:
1. 1st generation i7 740QM versus 2nd generation i5 2410M (mobile processor)? I read through some separate benchmarks, but, in REAL life, does it matter for just COX and streaming HD movies?
2. Scenario two:
1st generation i7 740QM with 1.5 gb GTX 460 mobile gpu.
versus
2nd generation i5 2410m with 1gb GTX 560 mobile gpu (superior to gtx 460).
3. For the next two years, shelling out around $1,350 USD, an overall waste?
Thanks in advance.
