I am at 39 and have some time in to the toon, I note the forums seem to really poo poo regen in favor of will power. I did not like regen on a scrapper, I thought with the increased HP and the +res it would work better on the brute. Thoughts? should I cut my losses?

I started a Claws/Regen brute in hopes of Regen having better performance. I rerolled him after 30 levels to be Claws/WP.

Regen needs some overhaul before it can be considered a solid set again, IMO. What that is, I'm not sure. Boosting Resilience's numbers? Shortening the recharge of heal powers? Maybe making Instant Healing a toggle again with slightly lower regen numbers? As it stands, any buff to the set would be strongly welcome.

@Rylas

Kill 'em all. Let XP sort 'em out.

i have a street justice/regen brute at 34 right now and i honestly have a lot of fun playing him, yes hes a tad more squishy but not as squishy as i felt as a regen scrapper

the higher base and cap on hp is a really big difference IMO

You know I've been asking myself that same question all along as well. Should I take regen and pair it with STJ? I really liked the prospect of close to max hp on brute regen.

Well I am sitting at lvl 42 and am starting to get the hang of it for the tough fights.

I went with Regen b/c I've never had a regen toon before and wanted to try something different.

It's different. And when a tough fight comes along, you have some tools to overcome.

The -end and -recharge foes in the First Ward were brutal. I am finally getting end management under control with a few choice IOs. STJ takes quite a bit of end to hammer down some tough foes.....and running out of end just stinks. That has helped alot in my opinion.

I am sticking with it myself. I see some light at the end of the tunnel and feel that with IO sets, he'll be quite competitive.

And I've felt just as squishy with my ss/fire brute and my kin/ela scrapper.......until you can turn the corner (with whatever you need). Then it's quite fun.
