Graphic Flickering Since Latest Patch

Can't put a cause on this. Since the Halloween patch, I've been having lots of screen flickering, worse when I move any amount vertically (jumping, flying up) but at any time, both inside missions and outside. I don't know what triggers it; I can go near water, building reflections, anything, run a bunch of missions, then suddenly the flickering starts on zone/mission entry and won't go away. The flickering is generally the entire screen flickering black for 1 frame, sometimes it's just most of the geometry but not all. It's hard to tell.

-I have the latest driver for my NVidia 550 GTX Ti, and have had it for months now.
-I have the same settings as my fiancee for graphics (except he has bloom on), he has the same video card and driver.
-It isn't guaranteed to happen immediately, but when it does, it does so regardless of me closing COX entirely and re-opening.
-It does so regardless of background programs, any combination from "all I usually ran" to "none."
-Other games aren't doing this.
-Lowering my graphic settings, even the flicker-potential-causing Anisotropic Filtering (which has always been maxed), to the minimal does not stop it once it starts.
-VSync is enabled.
-I have NOT tried full-screen, only a maximized window.
-DXDiag claims no problems.

This happen to me about a year or 2 ago. The flickering would continue for about 30 seconds and then the game would crash. I discovered it was caused when i would accidentally press the middle mouse button. Doing so activated a mode while web surfing which caused mouse movements to scroll and changed my pointer to what looked like a circle with up and down arrows in it. I think it's called chording. At the time my video card was also a NVidia (FX 5500 i think) and i was using Windows XP. I disabled the middle mouse button with options in the mouse drivers and it was ok after that. I've since then gotten a new computer built by my brother and me (mostly him) and run Windows7 with a Radeon card. I forgot to disable the middle mouse button but i haven't had that problem yet.

I have also been having this issue since the last update. Its so bad that I can not hardly do anything.

I had the same problem and it really was awful. I exited the game, rebooted my puter, did a 'repair' from the launcher dropdown then defragged. Entered the game and it's been back to perfect ever since. Hope thsat works for you!
