I don't think that'll eject you from the trial tho.
Roswell, I've been in the same situation. The big grated entrance gate should let you out. Or the side door to the Abandoned Sewers. I don't recall which one. I believe I tried them both when the same happened to me, but it did spit me back out where I was previously.

The problem is that the top bubble under the Holiday Trials tab says accept any team forming. Which means it will accept any team you are qualified to join from Up From Below to an Incarnate Trial to the Holiday trial.
I found that out last night when I selected that one and found myself on sewer run. I just shrugged and spent the 10 minutes running it with everyone and then did LFG again only selected the 2nd bubble not the top one.
As for leaving the team. There is a way besides the /leaveteam but hmm, it's quirky to find and my mind is fuzzy on it. Basically the same issue of how do I quit a team comes up running Oroboros Missions sometimes you get stuck in team mode and whee was that exit command? .... I can't quite remember but if you hunt through the various menu's you can find it I think. maybe somewhere on the menus with team, lfg, etc?

/requestexitmission 1 may not work since the 'exit' button doesn't exist if you've not completed the trial.

/leaveteam definitely should. It will force you to leave your team (of one) and remove you from your instance (the chain of trial maps).

I was in a standard door mission yesterday and didn't get the Exit button. I was like, "No Way, How could this be that much of a coincidence that I just happened to learn the /requestexitmission 1 command today lol."
Haven't seen that bug in 5 years. But it kicked me right out, so thanks!

A few times in the last day or so, I've joined a sewer trial, only to load in and find that most or all of the other players were expecting to find themselves in Dr Kane's haunted house instead. Now, I don't know whether that's a bug or people just not paying attention, but the point is, most or all of the team quits right off the bat to go find the trial they wanted. Sometimes I'm left all alone, sometimes there are a few others left with me, but eventually, they all give up and quit too. And once they do, I'm left without a "quit team" button, just a "find members" one.
So if I decide now's not the time and want to either re-enter the queue myself or find something else to do... how do I leave? Besides logging out and back in, I mean. Am I just missing something obvious? The LFG/trial setup (and leagues in general) is still kind of new to me.
FUN FACT: That burst of light when you level up is actually the effectiveness escaping from your enhancements all at once.
