When you leave Praetoria, you make a choice whether to be a hero or a villain. That becomes your new classification. So you will be able to access the character after they've made this choice and end up either in Paragon City, or the Rogue Isles.

You could however end up locked out if you haven't purchased a Mastermind unlock or aquired enough Paragon Rewards Tokens to have Masterminds unlocked even as a premium player

As an example, I had a Praetorian brute that, at twenty, went to the Rogue Isles.
He immediately turned around and went back to the First Ward, never did a mission nor talked to a single contact.
At 21, because he had not done it yet, and needed a L25 enhancement, he went to the CDEC(Praetorian University) to do the free IO arc, and the contact there told him "I don't talk to people from other dimensions".
So, once you go to Primal Earth, you can never get the stench out of your costume.

On a free account, may I access a character that's level 20+ and outside Praetoria if that's where the character originated? Is it still a "praetorian" after it's left the zone?
