If you had only two, what would they be?
.. am I the only one that would be smart enough to get a second job flipping burgers 6 or so hours a week to support my gaming habit?
But characters... One slot would be continually rotating so I would always have something fresh to play. The other slot would be the character that I liked the the most from the two characters I could play. I would get both up to 50 and then delete the least liked character and bring up a new character to 50.
I wouldn't limit myself to two characters.. just make do with the two slots that I could play with.
Also I would save costumes and backgrounds of the deleted character incase down the road I wanted to play them again.
claws/regen scrapper - mainly for solo.
rad/sonic defender - mainly for teaming.

Were I limited to only two? I'd have my Ninja/Ninja stalker and a Fire/Emp defender (no where near enough defenders on Exalted for some reason )
OK, so sometime in the future, your ex IRRETRIEVABLY deletes all of your existing toons.

Oh, wait.... if she's my "ex", it means it did not end well...
... I knew it, I just knew it...
P.S.: Invuln/SS Tank and probably Katana/SS Scrapper

No contest. I'd rebuild Palrah (WP/DB tank) and Grey Kestrel (DB/WP stalker), my blue-side and red-side mains... and I suspect I'd be content with just those two for quite awhile.
Sure, I'd miss almost all of the others... I'm awfully fond of Ash and Silver (my favorite scrappers), and Mist (my Incarnate peacebringer) and Shade (KM stalker), for instance... But my favorites are still my favorites, and they'd get priority when it came to picking up the pieces and starting over.

That chick what plays the bird-things...
...if I couldn't afford to play, then I wouldn't play. No TV, no cable, no phone, no internet - just work, work, work.
