Fire Vs Ice for Plant/Fire
I'm leaning to ice. the -res in sleet and the extra knockdown really make it a wonderful power.

Proc'd out creepers and roots does get you some good AoE, but spamming Roots is heavy on Endurance and while creepers does do great damage over time, if you don't actually summon them under a mob (which you'll only be doing every 2 minutes or so), they take a long time to get going on a new mob.
So while you end up with decent AoE eventually it's not really ideal or terribly reliable, nor does it particularly benefit from Embrace of Fire.
Fire mastery adds a lot. I recently got my Plant/Fire/Fire up to level 50 (and beyond) and it's great to go Seeds, Roots, Embrace, Rain of Fire, Fireball, sometimes putting in Creepers for good measure (although usually I'll drop Creepers on a second mob and let them handle it while I wrap up the first one). Without fire mastery your AoE is limited to Roots, Creepers, Fire Breath (which while great can only affect so many guys at a time) and uh... Combustion...
Sure, it's also less defensive, but it also gives you a great self-rez power, so it makes up for it there.
Sleet is great and all but I don't know if the -Res it gives can compete with the 85% damage boost you'll get for 30 seconds on Fire Ball and RoF.
Go /Fire -- if it's dead it can't hit you. I have a plant/fire/fire and I *loves me* some Embrace of Fire + Fireball + Rain of Flaming Deathly Bits (after they've been Rooted). I also have ~32% ranged def (so 1 small purpl soft-caps me).
It depends, are you going to be soloing mostly? or grouping or some of both?
Basically Ice is better in groups because everyone benefits from sleet. Add that into the other benefits from ice, including a heal/hp buff and a nice S/L Defense shield, which takes another LOTG, and Ice pulls ahead. I also always end up planning on Ice for my Doms, just because there is too much there that is useful.
However if you are expecting to primarily solo the toon, then with EF, Fire might be worth it for the raw damage. Especially if you manage good uptime on EF. Also might fit better thematically if that matters.
Topic pretty much states the question. I'm curious which Epic would be a better choice?
Ice can get me to 35% S/L defense pretty easy, Sleet, Ice Storm, & Hoarfrost to fall back on.
Fire is harder to get 35% Ranged defense while keeping good recharge & not breaking the bank. But get Fireball & RoF which get the full 30s effect of Embrace of Fire.
I know Sleet + Ice Storm is no where near as good as Fireball + RoF with EoF going but should that still be really good AoE with Roots, & procced out Creepers ?
Anything I miss? please give some input on this. Thanks in advance!
