I'm not sure what the situation is currently, but they're a super friendly and helpful lot. It may take a few days before you hear back, but they likely have a mountain of PMs, so it is understandable.
Of course... sometimes you hear back right away, haha!

Basically it isn't automated becuase they don't want people casually escaping their own reputations and the like under a name. That said if you do need it they will change it for you.
