Stacking Rage

I was wondering if stacking rage is worth it
Pro: stacking it = 160 % damage buff, 40 % tohit buff and avoiding the Defense debuff
Con: The - enderence/ -damage debuff also comes up more often

I have rage recharge down to 85 sec so I would end up with stacking rage for 35 senconds. So is that enough time for stacking rage to rly be worth the extra down time and more enderence used by it ? (also atm I click rage at the time of crash to avoid the defense debuff)

I've found myself to be more efficient clicking it just before the crash.

Maths have shown that, when soloing or without buffs, stacking rage does increase one's damage over all. This is most true against something like an AV or GM where you are fighting without stopping for a long period of time.

Personally, i tend click it right before the crash most of the time.

Stacking Rage is always beneficial from a pure numerical point of view up until you go above the damage cap, before procs, reactive interface, veteran powers, travel times and misc clicks are considered... Speaking about pure damage. I've never looked at endurance consumption, because it doesn't tend to be a problem for my builds (emphasis on infinite sustainability with ST chains tends to give you enough to spam AoEs in normal gameplay).

I'll stack rage when i know i need the damage NOW. If i don't need the damage or tohit as much, then i'll only hit it to ignore the -defense debuff. On my SS/invuln i have enough end issues that if i keep up rage everytime its recharged, i'll bottom out pretty quickly (especially with the double rage + hasten end crashes) So i try to pace myself best i can.

Against psi enemys though, its either double stack rage to smash its face in, or throw on darkest night to kill the enemys around it. Both options put a hurt on my end bar, but its better then dying.

Something that someone reminded me of not too long ago was the fact that if you reactivate rage just before or during the crash period you actually negate the -defense portion of the crash.

Put me in with the single-stack crowd; use it just often enough to minimize the endurance crash and avoid the defense crash.

Yes please!

My Brute loves to triple stack rage for ridiculous levels of self buffs to his damage.

I tend to put rage on auto so I don't have to click it constantly. I then notice the -dmg instances by monitoring my damage stat.

Despite what the icons are telling you, you're likely not triple stacking rage. That requires 210% +rech buffs and 100% in the power to even happen for a couple seconds.
