Patron Arc Enemies Conning @+6

I was doing my patron arc - go get some info from Ghost Widow's tower. So I wander in and I'm met by a bunch of Fortunatas on the other side of the door.

The big problem with that is there were 6 of them and I was in a duo. We were 37 and these Forts were 43. We beat them and managed to complete the mish with a bit of ghosting but it does seem like a bug, especially as there were a couple of NPC enemies who were conning as yellow 38s. The vast majority were these Fortunatas at 43.

Is this WAI or is it broken? I petitioned at the time and got a belated response but no additional info forthcoming.

At a guess I'd say it's related to the Patron Pools now being available 5 levels earlier than before and the mission not having been updated to reflect it?

That seems to be a reasonable assumption.

What's wrong with you? Don't you know you can't make reasonable assumptions here on these forums? It's just not allowed!!!!!

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

I did wonder that... but it seems odd that some enemies conned right but the majority were uber-tough. Fortunately we were on a couple of robust cruppers so survived but it's a definite annoyance, and has potentially very negative consequences on less experienced players.

Different critters have different level ranges of availability. They obviously didn't change any critters when dropping the level requirement for the patron arcs to account for the five lower levels, and those critters showing up at +5 or more are critters that exist at level 40-50.

Some critters have a wider level range. Those will show up normally when level requirements are changed, if they still fall within their current level range.

The only problem I'd expect to see if the mission was not updated to reflect the new level range is that the enemy groups would be level 40-45 instead of 35-45. If that were the case the enemies in the mission would be level 40. Given that they were level 43, I'd say that indicates something else going on.

Ok but if they exist at llv 40 how come they are showing up at 43 when my settings were 0/0
