What should I do first?

Hi everyone. I have been away from the game for about 11 months now, and figured I'd say hi again to everyone and see what people would recommend me to experience first. There is a lot of content I have missed and I don't think there have ever been this many changes to the game. When I left, we only were allowed two tiers of the alpha power. I've done a couple of the new trials and so forth and people have shown off a few of the newly purchased items. What does everyone here think that I should look into or do first now that I'm back? Thanks for any guidance! Glad to be back!

PS, please feel free to link me any important forum posts you think I need to read. Im trying to sift through it all, and it's a bit overwhelming! I wish there was and all-in-one guide for the past year!

If you like a good story arc head for First Ward, the new Praetorian zone. It got a series of 8 linked arcs that are pretty good.

It is better to ask forgiveness than permission.

Decide what is important to you first...

1. Do you want to kit out your fav 50 with all new incarnate shinies?
2. Do you want to try the new powersets on a lowbie?
3. Do you want to try new content? You can make a lowbie or go through ozone.

Once you decide which direction you want to go in, then we can better help you.

MP, I think Im more concerned about getting all of the incarnate stuff. It seemed confusing at first, but I think Im slowly getting the hang of it.

If you have altitis (and who doesn't, if you have played CoH for a long while), the quest for incarnate shinies never ends. I have alphas on most of my alts at 50 (15+ or so?), but for the next four incarnate slots, I only have them on a few. Rather than grind trials ad nauseum, I get through 1-2 a few nights out of the week, and I've been progressing well enough.

Grey Pilgrim (my Fire/Fire Tanker) is my main, and he only has a Very Rare for his alpha and two of the new incarnate powers. He's debating getting another Rare for his Destiny, as Clarion and Rebirth are nice for two of the trials, and he has a Barrier. And that's just one character!

Try it out with characters you like, but there's no need to rush. I've heard a lot of players say they're sick of trials, so don't get to that point. Pace yourself, and the trials are pretty fun then.

right now i been more focused on lvling new toons since i have new combinations and more slots to make toons

the incarnate grind is almost too much for me so i been taking that a lot slower so far i have 6ish toons with tier 4 alpha, my main has tier 4 judgement, tier 4 destiny, tier 4 interface and 5 tier 4 lores, most of my other toons dont have anything past tier 3 for non alpha stuff but i have about 4-5 toons with all of the slots unlocked and slotted with something

Thanks for the advice. So far I have one character that is progressing along nicely. She already has a 3rd tier alpha and 1st tier Judgment power. I really do not have many characters as I only have 6 level 50 characters (that I can think of at the moment) so maybe I will not get so bored of the trials as some others do.

I would suggest filling out your tier 3 destiny and lore first (once unlocked) and then going back to fill in judgment and interface. Being at +2 and +3 on the trials makes them a whole lot more fun.
