How do I find a group in todays game on virtue?

I play alot solo and I confess, I don't like group play that much unless it's for the trials and task forces (I LOVE doing all the trials and task forces!) and I mostly just solo the tip/alignment missions, Boreas Rikti War Zone Timed Missions, AE story arcs (If I can solo it), the signature story arcs and finally, solo newpaper and mayhem missions when it's not peak hours.

But what if wanted to make a Warshade and an Arachnos Crab Spider later on and changed my mind and wanted to group with others to level those up? I can see myself wanting to make those characters later since it does gives me group friendly combo class characters to use on the trials and task forces.

Are there certain Channels I should be joining? How do you join them? Should I just broadcast that I am looking for a group? What would you suggest I do if I just play Villian Side only? Is it still possible to just level from 20-50 doing only task forces and maybe the new sewer trial because enough people do them?

What is the latest trend on how to find a group in todays game on Virtue?

I've found the the Virtue LFG Beta channel works fairly well as a general-purpose teaming channel. All you've got to do is type this into the chat box.

/chan_join "Virtue LFG Beta"

That's usually active enough for both blueside and redside purposes, although I'll readily admit that I rarely play villains so someone else might have better perspective on that.

You could go from 20 to 50 doing nothing but task forces and trials, but it'd be a lot of repeating content over and over. I certainly can't twist your arm if that's the route you want to go, but you'd probably be better off doing a variety of content instead of strictly TFs.

Hope that helps!

Yes, and always monitor

For teaming? Anything really... VEATs are a lovely choice since you are looking at them.

Yes, definitely.

Be careful listening to advice from Seph, he's been known to take gaseous form and spirit people away unless they can speak his true name.

Nothing much to add that hasn't been said; LFG channels are really your best resource for teaming. You'll inevitably make friends on the grind to 1-50, and having a core TF group is never a bad idea. It's also very easy to find a PuG for the weekly task forces; on a weekend or weekday evening you can typically just go to that zone its held in, and within five minutes be on your merry way.

The villain ATs are pretty fantastic. I have a friend that's pure wolf; no bane or crab spiders, and she easily solos +2/x8. She's got great AoE, massive team buffs, and no big dangly arms hanging out of her back. I think it required some IO investment, but pure Wolf is something you don't see very often, and it's definitely effective.

I'd highly recommend, in the interest of ease of teaming, to become either a vigilante or rogue. Especially with the weekly TFs; some of them are just...easier to find a team with if you're on the right side. A few weeks ago they did Sister Psyche/Silver Mantis. Not once did I see anyone looking for Mantis, because that last mish at the oil rig is so obnoxious. More options the better.

Thank you for all that info. I may do a Bane Spider/Wolf Spider Dual build combo first, then mess with Warshade. I want to make sure I can at least solo Boreas Timed Rikti Missions, the Newspaper/ mayhem missions, and the Tip/Alignment missions on a warshade and Bane Spider on the 0/1 settings at least, though I wanna group most of the time on those toons. I had better figure out how to get those toons into Cimerora, as well, though I am sure my Supergroup will help with that.

Still not sure, since I am going to limit myself to 4 characters because I want to buy enhancement boosters, extra salvage slots, enhancement trays, auction hall spots and costume slots, etc. and that adds up in dollars for 48 characters. Plus it's hard to get incarnate abilities all to tier 4 on more than 1-4 toons. I got two brutes which do good for me now.

Yes, Vigilante and Rogue all the way!

Anyways. I'll start with those channels, thanks.

Limiting your characters is a good idea to make sure they feel the love, but I'm fairly certain that the extra costume slots, enhancement trays, and things of that nature are account-wide! (I can't see how they could justify 20 dollars for another enhancement tray otherwise.)

I can confirm that salvage slots, enhancement trays, auction slots, and costume slots are all global to your account; buy them once, get them on every character on every server. And the same for extra recipe and vault storage.

Enhancement boosters are local to the single character you claim them to after purchase.

One of the best ways I've found to get on teams is to spam in Broadcast, "Forming lvl x Hero Tips team. Send tell to join." (substitute the details for whatever you're about to do.) Also spam in Virtue task forces channel if you're forming a tf. If you want a team, the best thing to do is to start one. There's never enough teams.
