Vet status on the account page seems to be generally a bit screwy. Mine has been wrong for ages -- in game, I had the 36 month (and now have the 3 year) vet badge, and yet on my account it says I have 2 years 1 month of paid time.

Ditto for me. Prior to the conversion, I had the 63 Month reward (5 years, 3 months.) When I logged into Freedom today, I have only 4 years, 1 month logged as paid time.

Oddly enough I did check between the wiki and the badges and I ended up with the 72 month badge which is Distinguished badge.
I will have to check what my total is, but it does seem within range. I just wished they would just have make a chart or has some place that would point you to what you have so you don't have to waste your time guessing or even bothering asking.
It should have been here are you points, want to know how we figured it out click this link to see the chart. You log into your account and the chart posts based on what info they have on your account.
Again I will admit I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed sometimes. But if you point me at a direction am willing to read what you point me at. I just should not be guess or sending in a email to support to ask and getting back a email that they will respond back in 24 hours when its 2 days later. Or waste anyone's time on the forums asking these questions.
