If you go Ice/Kin/Soul it might be a nice new surprise for you. All that -Dam. Plus I happen to think that Ice is one of the better sets and how anyone can have probs with it is beyond me. Certainly the most exciting off the bat toon I had with which tanking comes so easily.

Well if I went Ice, I would want to go with Ax, Fire, or Mace for concept reasons.
I have to like the concept or I would not like tank.
Kin I think leads to more of a science/tech type while ice is more magic/mutant iny to me.

Why not go for a SR tank?
Personally I always planned on rolling an MA/SR because it seemed to be the closest I could get to being in the batman frame of hero. Granted StJ might just squash that but hey MA deserves a chance.
I level bumped a stone/ma and it was pretty slick seeing a decked out granite displaying smooth MA moves in RWZ.

SR for a tank?
Not really my cup of tea.
For a Def set with no Res and no heal is just asking for trouble IMHO.
I would need a secondary with a lot of mitigation and I don't feel like there is one that would support a Def only primary.
I could be wrong and will wait to see how others fair with SR for a bit longer before I give it a go.

While I've never been in a TT event nor I know what exactly do you fight against, I'd go Ice/ blindly.

If you want tough and AOE damage then Inv/Fire would be a good choice; Inv/Elec would probably be a good second option.
I can't speak for SR yet as a mature tanker, but what would you say to a level 8 SR/MA who's already at 35% Melee/Ranged defense? That includes the 10% buff from Crane Kick of course and I'll admit it's going to be light on AOE. Also remember that SR basically cannot be def debuffed and it has scaling resistance to damage built into it's passives. Aid Self will probably be a useful addition but it looks to be pretty good to me so far.
I'm not sure what TT may be.

I really dont like Ice, and I am looking for a strong tank with both ST and AoE's.
