Game/Time cards to Paragon Points
While the precedent is there, its slightly different, those were fully free games with coin purhcases funding them.
The Game time cards provide a non cc method of maintainging a subscription, which is still a viable use for this game, so they may not do it.
but it would be a ncie alternative, part of the freedom
But what happens when a third party store offers game time cards for cheap? I know that's how I've subscribed for a while: about $19 for something that would normally be $30. I guess that's alright for subbing, but what about getting points from a cheaper card? I doubt NCSoft'd want that.

Shouldn't really make any difference. Those cards are paid for up front by retailers. NCsoft gives them a discounted rate to increase visibility.

So, they might only get $10 out of every $15 that the card is valued at, but the idea is that more people might give it a shot because they see it on the rack at Target, Gamestop, Best Buy etc.
With the hybrid model, it makes sense to give people as many options to give their money to NCsoft as possible.
Back in the day, NCSoft used to allow people to convert Game and Time Cards for any of their games to NCcoin for use in Exteel or Dungeon Runners.
It would be great if they allowed those cards to be converted to Paragon Points.
The precedent is there, and these are a manageable amount of money that makes it nice and easy to add them to your account or 'gift' them to friends.
Personally, I'm looking forward to allowing my 7 year old son to start his own Free account, and it would be nice to have a way to add points to his account without having to link directly to my credit card.
