Power Boost does NOT affect Scorpion Shield
That's pretty dumb. So that IS intentional?

Yeah, I don't frankly understand why it has what seems like such an arbitrary restriction either.
I mean, it still works on Forcefield>Deflection Shield doesn't it*? That has sizable Toxic resist, why should providing some other type of resistance render it ineligible for the benefit?
(*Not a rhetorical question, I'm really not sure if it does cause my bubbler hasn't had Power Mastery in years.)

The only self-shield available to Blasters that Power Boost will work on is the Day Job accolade Combat Shield. Spend 3 weeks logging out in a PVP zone, followed by 3 weeks (and thereafter) logging out in Arenas and you can get 30 minutes use per week.
Its a nice little back-pocket god-mode against Smashing, Lethal and Energy.
I agree that these rules are very arbitrary and dumb.
Does "self-shield" rule out Combat Jumping and Weave? It works just fine on those 2.

The issue is that enhanceable Resistance inherits its multiplier from the same field as Damage. If powers with enhanceable Resistance weren't flagged to ignore outside buffs, every time you hit Aim or Build Up to boost Damage you'd also increase your Resistance.
Power Boost (and any outside buffs, like from Incarnate powers) works with Force Field because FF's Resistance is not enhanceable.
But Scorpion Shield's Toxic resistance isn't enhanceable either...

In that case I don't know. That's very unusual. Technically they can flag any power not to work with outside buffs. They just usually choose not to do it unless the power has enhanceable Resistance.
Wait...
I know there's a tag that's [Ignores Enhancements and Buffs], all recharge debuffs have this. And apparently there's a tag that's just [Ignores buffs], since the Defense/resist powers that Power Boost doesn't work on have it.
Why couldn't they just apply the [Ignores buffs] tag to the resistance part of the power (leaving the defense portion buffable) instead of the WHOLE power?

I was playing around with power boost a little and it says it boosts defense, which it does for Weave and Combat Jumping but not Scorpion Shield. It that working as intended?
