Hi, does anyone sell City Of Villains PreSale Disk?

Somewhere between 20 and 50 each, depending on the week.

Because it was exclusive (.....unless you bought the hero kit ; ' )

I'd like the exclusive things advertised as exclusive which I purchased to remain that way, thanks.

Unless you know specifically where the CoV pre-order box came from, snagging the helmets you want will be a crapshoot.

And as it has been said already (several times) and ignored:

IF YOU APPLY ONE PRE-ORDER CODE, YOU ARE UNABLE TO APPLY ANY OTHER PRE-ORDER CODES. YOU CAN ONLY GET ONE PRE-ORDER HELMET PER ACCOUNT. You can get all four helmets in the veteran/paragon rewards program.

When they released the digital hero kit in response to player requests it stopped being exclusive.

OK, time to clear this up:

*NO* item that was released as part of a specific edition has been "released" for free. ONLY items that were released as part of preorders - which you did not pay more for - were. (The four preorder sprints and the helmets.)

The devs have (properly) stated that they *will not* release things people paid (sometimes extra) for (the collectors edition items, essentially) for free. They never said anything about releasing packs that others *would* pay for. And they never guaranteed they wouldn't release the preorder items to everyone else - in fact, when we were getting COV preorders, they told us to expect it later.

Prestige Power Slide was not part of a preorder. It and the Cape of Four Winds were part of the COH CE release (and later the Hero Gear kit.) It will not be given away free.

I have no argument with them releasing, and charging for, the items, much like they did for the GvE items, Mac Pack items, etc. Yes, even though I paid for them when they came out.

I never said anything about giving them away for free Bill. I said I had no objection if they changed their minds and made them available again. As in making the Hero Gear Kit available for sale again.

My only error was in using the term digital. I forgot the Hero Gear Kit that was sold on the PlayNC online store was a physical item that was mailed to the customer and included a code to unlock the ingame items.

The Hero Gear Kit was simply the CoH DVD edition without the box (collector's edition, but it wasn't called that, it was called City of Heroes DVD Edition, because the original CoH was on CD(s)).

It wasn't anything special. They had a bunch of DVD editions and cannibalized them. They were first sold at meetups and given away as contest prizes, then sold on the NCsoft store (that's where I got mine) until they (almost) sold out. They still have a few, because AFAIK they have been sold at HeroCons at the "out of game market". (Although I don't think they were available at the last one, which wasn't a HeroCon but a big meetup.)

Right. I forgot that the kit was a physical item with the code included. My bad for not having a perfect memory.

Correct, they were sold at both Hero-Cons, but not at Meet & Greets.

It was a general reply to the last several posts. Free was more looking at Chaos's post to clarify why it wouldn't be. But the "exclusive" bit does play into it - it's a part of a specifically purchased SKU.
