Frying a mobo takes a bit of effort. You checked to make sure nothing came loose? Have you dusted inside your case recently?

Silly question, but dead mobo or dead power supply affecting mobo (and therefore no POST)? The latter might be easy to replace with a run down to an office supply store.
Yeah, make sure it's not just the power supply. Have had that happen before.
Getting any lights or beeps at all? Make sure all your plugs/connections are tight. Ram seated, etc etc.

What's the best way to test power supply?

try this len... unplug your computer, leave it that way for about a minute, plug it back in and turn it on.

Took it to best buy for the lulz, confirmed it was the mobo.

Yeah, indy computer store would be better for trouble shooting.
If you're getting lights, it's not the power supply. If it's getting power and not posting/getting errors, likely the mother board or the connections to the mother board (make sure all leads from the case are plugged in).

Only went to BB to swap power supplies. same deal.
BB guy was pretty helpful, let me hook everything up and we tried for half an hour to get anything to work even with a brand new PS and new cables/connectors for the mobo for free, still no dice. So, a mobo it is.
Problem: newegg/tigerdirect no longer carry my mobo.

Since you've not posted other details earlier, let me be on the safe side by asking: this mobo being considered, is it compatible with the current processor, RAM (type & # of slots), video card slot, power supply connections and hard drive connections? Also does it fit the form factor of your computer case?

I'm guessing yes, if he's linking to one that takes Athelon II's.
Might want to consider a full rebuild.
