Ok..Here we go.... If slot a power with crafted enhancements to get the set bonus on multiple powers, but the powers cant be used together does it still benefit me....example. If I had stealth, Invisibilty and steamy mist all slotted with a full red fortune set or gambler set.. would this overall stack help my defense even when there not all toggled? thnx.

Yes. Set bonuses do not care if the power is on or not.

The only case where you have to care whether the power is on are for individual IOs that are procs/act like procs (such as the Kismet: +To Hit), but not things like LotG+Recharge that act like a global set bonus. ParagonWiki generally has information for all the specifics

Set bonuses do not even care if the power is available or not. For example, if you slot the power you gained at level 49 with level 33 set IOs, those set bonuses will still be available when you exemp down to run Citadel TF (level 30 max).

Sidenote: But they won't be available when you exemp down to run Moonfire (level 28 max). You need to be within three levels under the IOs to get set bonuses.

And this is why, for critical bonuses, 30 is the highest I go on the sets (27-30 being the range I look at when possible), as that is good for exemping, plus it gives decent enhancement values for the powers they go in. However, for individual special pieces, such as KB protection, LotG 7.5% Recharge, Winter's Gift Slow Resistance, and the Kismet and Steadfast uniques for example, I go as low as possible since the bonus is the same no matter what (other than the resistance aspect of the Steadfast, which is worth the tradeoff for having the 3% defense bonus as low as level 7).

The Kismet Accuracy is a proc, not a global, and will work no matter the level as long as the power it is in is available and used.

Oh, I did not realize that. Still, I have a habit of taking my procs as low level as possible, and the powers I put them in are often taken at fairly low levels too, which necessitates taking low level procs anyway. Other benefit of taking low level procs is that the ones that start at 10 or 15 only require tier 1 salvage, which is often considerably cheaper than the tier 2 stuff.
