Ice/Nrg, Able to PvP?

I put this together and i really have no experience in PvP so i dont know how well it will actually work. Cause i have like half PvP and got wrecked by ranged toons, so my thought process on this guy is that he has good dmg + the -speed and -recharge as long as i can stay back a little i can actually get some kills lol. So, any help is appreciated

Ice Blast is pretty bad for PvP, it has low damage and the speed debuffs don't do anything. Although, if you're set on it you should get to the HP cap and slot up at least 41 pts of kb protection. Also, I'd highly advise to pickup the concealment pool for phase.

Ok, scrapped the ice. So fire is doing like an average of 50 to 100 pts more. Got 43 pts of KB proc. Also hit health cap (with hoarfrost though, which only has 30 sec downtime). O and i side question, is the 45.5 pts of KB in Power Thrust enough to work? Thinking it would come in handy if someone did get close and would buy me a little time.

Made more changes. Higher dmg, and got leadership for the extra buffs (extra percep to come in handy to see those with stealth and stealth IO's) Kept up a 43 pt KB proc still.

If Boost Range isn't perma, make it perma. Outranging people is an /Energy blaster's specialty. If you have Perma Boost Range, you will outrange anything but another /Energy blaster, so you will end up having an advantage over a lot of other ranged characters.

Ah, ok makes sense. But it is, it has a 21 sec recharge so good to go lol. So, note to self kinda keep boost range on auto then?

Also when/if you want to spend a bit more you can slot your blasts differently, like 5 slot apocs in Flares with the 6th slot being a glad jav proc. And replacing the HO's in fire blast and blaze with a Glad Jav acc/dam and a glad jav proc in each power or 6 slotting glad javs in blaze and fire blast and you can also replace the devastation proc with a the dam/rech or dam/end(if you are having end issues).
