So my bots/dark MM Is level 21 and I seem to be having a hard time soloing missions. My settings are -1 and equiv to 1 superhero. I figured with 4 bots and myself I should be tearing them up no problem, but I seem to get overrun in these missions. My bots are dying to quick.

I currently have my henchmen slotted for all dmg, should i switch that up?

I find this hard to believe, unless you completely messed up your slotting and power picks.
Heck, at -1/x1 I think I could go through a mission with an emp defender with just T1 attack.

Bots/Dark is one of the highest damaging combination.

I think you should keep going. Don't throw in the towel yet. As you get higher your set will get stronger. You are one more level away from SOs. Your tier 3 pet is 5 levels away.

Bots put out a lot of damage and Dark is one of the best secondaries for MMs. At level 32 you will get your second upgrade after that you should be shredding any enemies that get in your way.

Make sure you slot for Accuracy also and you may want to look at getting into the leadership pool.

well when I run into a boss, he hits my henchmen and it takes half their life. add the minions and liutenants to that and I cant keep up with the healing

Did you take powers from your secondary? By 21, you should have Darkest Night, Fearsome Stare, Howling Twilight, and Tar Patch in addition to Twilight Grasp. Between those powers, no one should be hitting you. Maybe a lucky hit here or there, but all that -hit, the fear, slow, and stuns, it should be damn hard for creatures to get anywhere near you. And when they do they should be hitting like tissue wielding noodles of impotent fury.

A safe way to get everyone in your tar patch is to drop it around a corner, target the biggest meanie and give it some darkest night, then run around the corner. The spawn will follow the big meanie and all run into your tar patch. Commence the killing from there.

In addition, keep your bots out of melee range - use your goto command to move your bots back to where they will fire their pulse beams instead of trying to brawl.

You're simply in the rough stretch of a MM's life, around level 20-25. Yes, that means you've got a few more levels of thinking "I thought MMs were supposed to be awesome?" until your Assault Bot shows up.

If bosses are problematic, for now you can go to the fateweaver and turn your settings to "no bosses".

Hopefully you chose Fearsome Stare when you turned level 20. Use this for your opener, to debuff and fear the enemy. If you follow that up with putting Darkest Knight on a higher rank mob (who will live longer), you and the bots are in a very safe place, even on DOs when you combine the prot bot bubble and Shadow Fall.

Hang in there...

Basic slotting would put them around 1-2 acc, 3 damage and an end reduc. Look at the level your minions are. It's even harder for them to hit things since they are lower than even you. They need acc to hit. The end reduc is more likely for the protector bots since they use much more end. It's not bad to only slot 2 damage for them and add in a def just to boost their bubbles since they cast them on other pets and yourself. Darkest Night needs 1 end reduc and 3 -tohit debuffs. Fearsome Stare should get 2 acc, 2-3 fear, or -tohit debuffs, and 1-2 recharge. These two powers are huge for mitigation. Your heal needs to hit, so 1-2 acc and then 3 heals. with recharge/end slotting to fill it out.

Go here. Download and install Titian Sentinel and Mid's Planner. Start Titian Sentinel and then run CoH and log into your MM. Tab out to Titian Sentinel and use the Utilities tab to export your current build into Mid's format. Start up Mid's and import the build. You can now export the build onto the forums and thus we can look at your build as is.

Stop sending your pets in. Set them to defensive/follow (bodyguard mode) and waltz into the spawn yourself.

This. Poke around the FAQs/guides and learn about Bodyguard mode and how that makes you and all your bots more survivable. You have one of the best heals in the game, there is no reason anything should be dying at those difficulty levels. Make sure to stay at range if you can by using Tar Patch to slow enemy movement too.

Best,

The mm's mantra: level 22 is SOs, level 24 is 2nd lieutenant bot, level 26 tier 3 pet, gravy time at level 32 with AoEs.

Your robots are all single target pets at level 21. You don't have to go melee, but firing off fearsome stare or leading off with twilight grasp means you have 4 pets replying to the first attack by foes.

Level 21 is the low spot. You should have some accuracy especially for the attack drones at this point. Just one more level will make so much difference.

That needs to be a song somehow. So true.

I would lead off with Darkest Night versus Twilight Grasp.

That would work. I usually avoid leading off with tar patch though.
