Market Selection For Sale Fulfillment?

Having trouble selling my items even though they are below current sales. How does the market select who's item fulfills what order?

For example lvl 30 Recharge IO's were selling for 5million each there were 2 for sale, I listed 3 @ 2.5M(5 new total). I come back mine are still not sold but I see 5 new sales history for 5M each. Now I would think one of those sales would have to have been mine, since I am 50% of the going rate and mine would have been in before new crafters if it was using a FIFO method?

So FIFO does not seem to be it, if it was lowest priced out first I would think the sales would not continue to be 5M, I also listed at 4,999,999 to see if it was whoever is closest to the bid amount gets the sale...but mine is still there despite additional sales.

Any idea?

Highest bid goes to lowest listed price.

So all it takes is someone to list theirs for sale at 2,499,999 and they'd sell before yours to as long as nobody else has listed theirs any lower than that.

The difference can be quite slim. For example, the going price might be 10-12 million, and if you list at 9 million it might be the lowest listed item and be the very next sale, where if you list for 9.1 million, it might possibly sit there for days. I've seen that sort of thing. ^_^

But yeah, as soon as there's a bid that is higher than one of the listed items, it will match that bid with the lowest current sale price. You can have your item listed at 2.5 million and have 100 people bidding 2.4 million, and the next person to come along and list for less than 2.4 million will instantly sell for 2.4 million. Or you can have yours listed for 2.5 million and maybe there are no bidders, or there's 50 people bidding for 50 influence... and then someone comes along and offers their item for 100 influence, and right after that someone bids for 5 million... the 100 inf offer would sell for 5 million and yours would still be waiting to sell.

As others have noted it is indeed "lowest price goes first". As for why you're aren't selling, this is a trend you will occasionally see on low priced items. If the price is low enough people don't bother to check for bargains they just enter the last successful sales price and call it a day.

I've seen this happen quite a bit with mid-level common IOs (even when it isn't double XP). you'll see a string of sales for several million but when you check the going rate is less than 1 million.

This is why I list everything for 6 inf.
