Did Double XP start early?

IIRC they said the 2X "weekend" would actually go from Thursday to Sunday.
Makes sense with the typical Thursday server maintenance at any rate.

It's generally better to start an event early rather than start it on time. If there turns out to be some sort of problem, you might be able to scramble and fix it before the deadline if you start it early. If you started it on time... well now the event is delayed for a little bit while the problem is being fixed, and people will complain.
Announcements went out 20 minutes ago on FB and Twitter that 2xp is Live.

there´s an easy way to find out if 2x XP has started.
Run the tutorial... if you´re lvl 2 halfway through, then it´s on

It went live as soon as the servers came back up. The lowbie teams have been flowing over on Onion and the Posi/BoB's are going strong too!

I think I started a Posi at 9ish and got flooded with tells.
I was on around 9AM Eastern this morning and XP looked doubled (7k and 32 prestige for a lvl 42 LT). They also didn't take the servers down like they usually do.
Are we experiencing Double XP as I type this?
