Unable to access server

I'm trying to access the Beta server for city of heroes but it says that my account doesn't have access and access is restricted for the public. I only re-subbed to the game this morning, do you think that's why? Or do I have to set my account up for it somewhere?

It's defiently the beta server and yeah I can see the server population rising, it's got the freedom login and everything but says I don't have access, I've sent a ticket but I doubt they will respond anytime soon, was looking forward to it aswell :/

I am also having the same issue. I reactivate my account couple days ago and when I login and go to select the Beta server 1, it says that public access is restricted from entering.

I am in the same boat. I re-sub'd last night but have been a long standing member in the past. I am definately logging into the beta server, I can see the one server up but when I go to click on it I get "server is not open to the public".

Please help NCsoft!

Wife and I want to come back and enjoy this game again but this isn't giving me a warm and fuzzy. I'm sure you'll work it out. It is beta after all.

Yes it is most likely because of the recent resub. It sometimes takes a day or two for the login servers for the test and beta servers to catch up to the live servers.

Yeah it seems like they flagged VIP accounts a while ago maybe and so people who have just subbed are not included.

I seem to be stuck in this same boat. I resubed last week but I always take my card back off the account so I don't forget it's on auto and have to get it refunded if need be. I have a feeling that could be why I am not able to get in.

Well I havn't removed the auto sub from my account and I'm getting the same error so I doubt it D;

Hmm been plsying this game for 72 months straight and I can only log into test server no BETA to click, any one else have this issue?

Setting up access to the Beta Server on Windows Systems

Run the NCsoft Launcher shortcut to get the latest update.

Create a copy of the NCsoft Launcher desktop shortcut.

Right click on the new shortcut and open the Properties option.

In the Target window, add the following flag to the end of the line:
[space]/LaunchGame=CohBeta

Run the shortcut.

The NCsoft Launcher will open, starting a City of Heroes Beta installation.

Click Install.

If you are on Windows Vista or Windows 7, confirm the UAC prompts. (if UAC is turned on).

After the installation completes, double-click CITY OF HEROES BETA in the NCsoft Launcher's games list to play.

All I'd like to do is change my resolution so I can check out the shiny while I play live.

yeah it's painful that you can't change resolution without being in the game.

When i went to access the beta i put my login into the game and it comes up and basically says its not right password/account name but i use same one to access normal game just fine. Is it only a select group getting into this beta or is it everyone? i have the beta client and says freedom ect but i just cant actually log in at all.

Edit: nm got in was odd...some reason its using my old password recently changed it i guess its not updated yet.

I'm getting the message that the game client is unable to connect to the login server. I have no clue what that means unless the server is down? Is there something I'm not doing?

Well I'm still being denied access. I'm pretty sure it's because I don't let my credit card sit on my account for more than 10 minutes anymore. I'm a little disappointed about this. I've been a faithfull and loyal customer since I4 but I guess that doesn't mean I've subscribed to this game.

I'm also still getting this problem, I contacted support and they have said they will look into the problem but it will take a few working days.

Having the same issue. Resubbed monday, and getting the error "Account [account name] is not allowed on this server. Reason: Public access to this server has been disabled"

I sent in a support ticket to NCSoft and they have in turn sent it to the COH people.

*fingers crossed* hopefully I'll get to see the shiny soon and help flush out any bugs. The first closed beta I got in on was for the Issue when they turned the MM upgrades into AoE's. I was testing my nin/pain MM and discovered the upgrade icons weren't sticking, the power wasn't sticking I believe. Yeah I know whoopty doo I found some obscure bug but it made me feel like I helped make the game better.

I am not too sure if I've done it right.

I downloaded and set up Beta. The log in screen looks different. I CAN log in but all of the beta servers are "gray out". I can't select any. There are tons of servers but none of them let me click.

Is it because all the servers are down right now or my account is not allowed to go into those servers?

I think there was a warning message that my account needs to be flagged as beta account and told me to "Manage" my account. How do I do that?

Oh, I tried to log in again and one of the servers has "green dot". I clicked it and it says my account does not have access.

Do you need to be invited or? I've been a subscriber for the past year.
