The Intrepid Informer is back, with Issue #8, where Matt "Positron" Miller tells us more about Mission Design! Matt will be picking up where John "Protean" Hegner left off, giving you all, in his words "some more insight into the process we use to design missions and Story Arcs"!

You can find this issue here!

After reading that, I actually would like to request Icon as an AE option-- and Facemaker too!

(As much fun as fighting level 50 Hellions sounds, it's a big stretch to imply that a low-tech gang is somehow on par as alien invaders, paramilitary fascists, and gods who have been tricked and trapped in their own pocket dimension.)
Someone hasn't played my new AE arc, coming with Issue 21's infinite AE story slots... "New Ragnarok City." My SGmates and I are making Well-of-the-Furies powered Hellions that will make you weep for mommy.

Of course there is the supporting character to the story that gets overlooked far too often: the location. The maps and visuals of where you are performing your escapades can be the strongest story-telling tool you have in your arsenal. If you have your final boss battle inside of an Icon tailor shop, that is definitely saying something about the story as a whole. Obviously there is a reason that you and your mortal foe ended up in this area for your showdown, and the map is there to support your story just as any other character would.
Sounds like the team needs to open up more maps for use, create new ones (utilizing suggestions from the All Things Art series of threads), and/or allow us to use the Base Editor to mod our own.

Apparently, I play "City of Shakespeare"
