Does the level pact thing still work?

No, changing the alignment shouldn't affect the pact. See this post.
I can confirm it doesn't.
We always level pact, and we have changed alignments several times. No issues with the pacts.
In fact, a Praetorian can even be level pacted with a non-Praetorian as long as you can meet up in the same zone to create the pact (like in Pocket D, for instance).

I got a question, if two people lvl pact and one changes alignment do they have to break the level pact?
