It has been brought to my attention by the powers that be specifically Avatae that multiple threads about the Rookery are a no-no.

So I ask you fellow Rookerezarians what if we get a thread started called Rookery have it stickied and leave it at that?

I'd like some votes or input on this, I do know some posters on the Virtue forum have had their comments about us( not good I might add), so maybe we can kill 2 birds at once.

So Fedor,Becky,Tigger, DJ, Neko, puppeh, Philly, Blue, Pogo, and any others that take delight in out little world what sez you?

We pretty much decided it was no on the sticky, we like the daily threads. And usually we don't have any problems with multiples, this was a strange week.

The discussion last time this was proposed boiled down to a stickied Rookery thread becoming too daunting for new rookizens and visitors. The point was to make friends and generally goof off in a good natured way, and entombing that in a several hundred page thread could discourage new drop-ins. Accidents occasionally happen with cross-posted threads, but that's fairly rare (aside from this week).

I can only echo what other people have said about the reasons we do a new Rookery thread each day. What it really comes down to is some very loud forum members who don't like seeing the Rookery and doesn't think it belongs here keep complaining, even though we have been told we are not breaking any rules many times.

If the mods are going to insist that we use a stickied thread, well then I guess we will be using a sticky thread. It isn't going to 'improve the quality of the boards' any though. People don't post here because they don't post here. Not because of the Rookery. And someone who refuses to post in the same forum as a Rookery thread... well that is thier problem, not ours, to be perfectly honest.
