If the games were truly separate players wouldn't have been able to do that and the devs wouldn't have been forced to rewrite the code to stop people from making heroic villains and villainous heroes.
And neither do the devs.
Both CoV and GR are examples of stuff that you have to buy up front. But, if you wait long enough, are being given to you for free.
Granted, some people don't LIKE waiting for months/years. But that's THEIR problem. Not Paragon's or NCSoft's.
