Rolling a KM/FA, insane?

After rolling my KM/FA Brute to 50 and IO it out to greatest. Only, that it's awesome in fire farms. I've decided to try the combo on a scrapper. My question is simple, is the damage really greater on a scrapper then a brute and can I run this build for PvP?

Anyone that has guide for this build would be great.

The fact that Scrapper KM can instantly recharge PS when CS crits makes it better, imo.

Which instantly gets countered by /fire being vastly better on brutes.

Which is to say that we don't really know if KM being better on the scrapper is better than Fire being better for the Brute.

Keep in mind that Burn for scrappers still has the fear component, so things will run away from you. If you plan on using Burn a lot Brute might be a better choice.

To be technical, Burn for scrappers does not have a Fear effect. However, NPC AI does have a thing about standing inside damage patches. Enemies do not flee instantly like they used to and some even stay (I guess you can overcome the flee AI by generating enough hate sans taunt effect sometimes). That being said, the taunt effects Brutes have are helpful at reducing scatter from Burn (I usually use Burn at the end of my chain, so it gets full value from PS and many things die when I activate it, before they could even choose to flee).

Why Blasters? Empathy Sucks.
So, you want to be Mental?
What the hell? Let's buff defenders.
Tactics are for those who do not have a big enough hammer. Wisdom is knowing how big your hammer is.

The thing is that KM is terribly outclassed by SS on brutes. Same damage type, superior self buff mechanic, and superior attacks. Unless you're after the damage debuff (in which case you'll be better off as a tanker), there's really no reason to go KM on a brute besides concept reasons.

On scrappers, KM is the best smashing type primary available(sorry MA) at least until Street Justice arrives. It also has great synergy with FA due to Power Siphon, even with the fear component of Burn.

Edit: Second best to DM, depending on how many enemies you have around you.
