Big orange AoE numbers but not a farming build...any suggestions?
I think I just like Ice as a better epic overall. I could reason taking any of the five powers even if you can only take 4.

Fire? Hey I can mash fireball, Fire Cages, Repeat!
Numbers wise, yeah Ice is better. but if you hate being inactive like I do, Ice is a death wish on the toon.
Tossing out another vote for Fire/Fire/Fire dom.
Mine rocks nearly 200% recharge constantly.

AoE everything ever all the time, then use Consume and do it all again. I know it's not on the list, but I have to suggest it.

this is brilliant, i was going to mention rad blast, but i don't play blasters, so i only have the def and cor set as reference, not sure how well the damage scales for blasters. but the AoE potential is there, whether or not the "tough" factor is, well that is debatable. hence why i don't play blasters

Usually, two of the above attacks (not including PBAoE toggles) will kill a Minion, with enough ST damage to down a Lieut without worry with Bosses being a speed bump if you go in with a cool head. Cold mastery for better survivability (Hibernate is a life saver). It can be tough, just takes a little while to get to there, though with 3 solid AoEs by level 10 it is a fast leveler. Honest.

Make a Crab Soldier.
They are AOE monsters. Great damage, great team toggle buffs, survivability, and pets. |
I've managed to build a Crab Spider who has better resists than my FA Brute, more HP than said FA Brute, softcapped defenses to pretty much everything, permahasten, and two of her three pet powers Perma. Once I get Spiritual set, it will be all three.
Lots and lots of big orange numbers. I was tearing apart Rikti and Longbow last night without hardly a dent in my HP, something which my SS/Fire/Mu brute finds impossible to do.
Until I see something that states to the contrary, going to assume VK is right .

Blaster.
I still dont see anything putting out the heat like they do. Most of the other big hitters are situational. With nearly zero set up, Blasters are ready to pour it on. I know corrupters, brutes and doms get the aoe love, but they are usually slower at doing the job, tougher, but slower. I play regularly with a brute player and corr player. When I ask what to bring, they always want the same from me, damage and that means my blaster.
For farming, Blasters arent as good, but for missioning, running from spawn to spawn, with little or no set up or positioning, Blasters really fill the screen with Orange.
I would say Rad/Fire or for lots more safety and utility Sonic/MM
I'm gonna have to say make a blaster as well.
If you want to make things go boom fast that is the AT to roll.
For a couple billion and some trial grinding you could make a build that has s/l defense soft cap and can alternate aim+build up each group you run into plus have mez protection or zero end worries. You will kill stuff retardedly fast with fire ball doing over 450 damage with reactive and build up and around 350ish with aim.
Run up to a group trow a fireball and then hop in and promptly 1 shot whoever is left standing and move onto the next group.
A fire/cold corruptor or fire/storm will do some sick aoe damage once they get their freezing rain/sleet, but neither will trow fire balls like a blaster nor have the spike damage capability of a blaster. Pyronic judgement+Aim+bu+fireball+inferno will pretty much drop any group in the game and do it in seconds.
That's big, fast AoE.

for Dominator: Fire/Fire or Plant/Fire.. still undecided
for Corruptor: Fire/Kin, /Cold, or /Traps. Leaning towards Fire/Kin although that would make two Fire/Kin toons, although I'm sure it would be a steamroller.
Lots of Fire here, so might roll Plant on the Dom just for some variety..

If you're gonna go corruptor I would go fire/kin for the BOOM factor. Build his defenses to s/l and steam roll hard.

Arch/MM...I put out a ton of AoE, and its not a real common build (although I have seen a couple) and with IO's ...very yummy Def and Rech.
Aim + Build-up + RoA + Exp Arrow = kills most everything..anything left.. rush in Drain Pysche and Pyschic Scream (the Mental Manip tier 9) = kills anything left standing
I gotta make pain. I gotta make things right. I gotta stop what's comin'. 'Least I gotta try.
Fire/fire scrapper. This combo works so well that I have kind of tarnished the archetype for myself. I can't seem to enjoy any other combo quite as much. Damage beast!
