AE = Architect Entertainment. In theory it's a wonderful system that allows creative people to make and share stories. In practice most people use it for farming. You can still generally find sewer teams (at least on Virtue) but a lot of people opt to simply farm thier way to 50 in the AE.
AE is the player-made content system - show up on your map, in most zone, big build (WITH WINDOWS ON THE INSIDE! :P)
A large number of people also go through praetoria.

Basically it's a place where players can create their own missions/story arcs. Player generated content.
as for the no sewer teams, that will depend on the server, and time of day. Sewer teams still form, but it's not the 'go to' as much as it was. If you're on Freedom, then most (in my experience) go to AE. On Virtue where I play, it's a toss up. Some want AE, others want Sewers.

From there I either keep running Scanners or contacts until I can run the new Posi TF. Then I run that at least once.
Another more Team-y option is to see if there are any groups running Hero Tip Missions in Atlas Park. Often they don't mind taking along a friendly and helpful sidekick and the missions are fun (much more fun than AE farms).

Howdy,
I haven't played City of Heroes in about 2 years. So I resub'd with GR, and rolled a new Hero in Atlas. My problem is that there are no Sewer teams! That was always what I looked forward to when making a new Hero... Whether you'd end up on a team full of Tankers and Scrappers (which would always end up in complete failure), or end up in a team full of Controllers and other squishes (which always went excellent).
So, I made my new Hero last night and there were no Sewer Teams but there was 687954321 people spamming "Lvl 13 Brute LFT AE"... what is AE?
Where do the new Heroes go to get up to level 7-9?
