Welcome to the forums!

Gravity/ff controller. Must have powers are wormhole, dimension shift, detention field and force bubble.

Toggle on force bubble and follow the tank. Wormhole the mobs that are close to the tank as far away as possible to keep him safe. while that is recharging, make sure to use dimension shift and detention field as much as possible to keep the mobs from overwhelming him. Force bolt is also good at keeping mobs away from scrappers, they are really appreciative since they are not as sturdy as tanks. They may complain that they dont like to run after the mobs, but they are always running ahead anyway, they are just complainers.
(This is a joke. please do not do any of the recommended)

Alternately, you can roll whatever seems interesting to you as you left no clue as to whether you like to buff, control, or just punch stuff in the face. Maybe even punch a whole bunch of things in the face at the same time. Me, I like to punch lots of stuff in the face at the same time. There is nothing that can't be solved in the game by a fireball either.

What kind of play style do you enjoy?

Posted

Do you wanna pvp, solo, team, task forces, trials?

What do you like to do, heal, range, melee, tank, debuff, buff, and or control.

I think anything traps is extremely fun all the way to 50.

Fire controllers post lvl 32

Willpower tankers are a beast and fun

Lastly a kinetics corrupter is so much fun you might need an Ioed out belt to keep your pants on.

This.

There's really no way for anyone to offer meaningful advice without knowing what you may enjoy. I know one player who absolutely loves controllers but can't stand playing melee characters... I have another friend who hates playing control characters. Offering a suggestion of a melee combination would be pointless to the first player while suggesting a control combination would be pointless to the second player.

In order to offer you anything useful in the way of advice we'd need to at least know what your desires are.

Do you enjoy protecting your team and being an unkillable brick wall? Well, we could suggest several Tanker combinations. Do you enjoy simply bringing massive amounts of pain on the baddies? We could suggest Blaster or Scrapper combinations that could fit that bill.

COH has just been murdered by NCSoft. http://www.change.org/petitions/ncso...city-of-heroes

Make a Robotics/Thermal mastermind. Because robots are awesome. And setting things on fire is also awesome. Therefore, having a bunch of robots that are also on fire is double awesome.

Scrapper I'd say. Pretty sturdy, good damage output, good AT to start on.

Like the others have said, nobody here can really make a valid suggestion unless you first let us know what type of play style you prefer. There is such a huge difference between various players likes and dislikes that anything we say is meaningless without your input.

And incidentally. It's roll a new character. It's a reference to pen and paper games and rolling dice to create a new character. Although I suppose role could be correct if you are using it as role play.

Don't count your weasels before they pop dink!

You can do this with a MFing Warshade. Damage capped, resist capped (to everything)... the AT literally feeds off of enemies. I did some simple math to illustrate that a Warshade takes more damage from three enemies than it does from twelve.

As a Warshade, the only thing you need is more bodies. Find things to kill, use them to increase your strength, kill them, heal off of their corpses, bring their corpses back to fight for you, and move on.

You can also sit back and watch things burn, too, as you will have as many as three damage dealing pets following you. On SOs it can be two most of the time.

You know, I think I'm just going to copy/paste this whenever someone comments that it's strange to see a villain AT playing blueside.

Villains: Annie Alias, Dr. Amperical, Shade Golem, Knight Marksman

You know, there's a very good reason my Warshade was the first of my heroes to go villain.

And since there really is nothing random during the making of a new alt, it should probably just be 'make,' or 'create.'
