Mastermind Incarnates?
So! Any MM Incarnates out there want to share how awesome Incarnate powers are for MMs? From what I'm reading, Alpha/Cardiac would remove the need to slot pets with -endurance opening up slots for procs, damage, or accuracy. Interface/Reactive would give each pet 50 points of fire damage for each attack and since most pet attacks don't even do 50 points of damage doesn't that DOUBLE their damage output??
What's it like having Lore pets? Are they affected by Supremacy? Thoughts on Judgment and Destiny? |
The fire dmg proc only stacks up to 6 times on any given target but yes otherwise you are correct
I took the barrier core line all the way up to Epiphany since I'm in melee anyways I took the void -dmg line all the way up to VR for judgement
I went Musc with my Alpha and I don't think I could have made a better decision(it also boosts lore and judgement dmg!)

My Necro / Dark is now a full T4 incarnate. I went Cardiac END/RESS and even though I am a endurance hogging Dark toon I can now debuff untill doomday. The RESS factor stacks with the several RESS powers (From the Soul Mastery and the Fighting pool + Shadow Fall).
Went specifically for diff damage dealers... The LORE is SEERS adding well in concept psi damage and buff of my not-s0-squishy MM. The JUDGEMENT is green colored fire. The Pyronic gives the added fire damage. Making her range all kind of damage versions. (negative, lethal, smashing, fire, psi)
Barrier does well in buffing the pets well over the RESS cap!
She performs very well! Even if not build for PVP she wins almost all there. And can crash big mobs of purples with ease. I soloed AV's too.. although not all GM's are manageble (Jack in Irons easy in 10 min, Ghost of Scrapyard can't hurt me but can't get him either).
Sometimes I really think the incarnate stuff makes them overpowered. But I lost count of the inf that went into her after sooo sooo many billions!
- The Italian Job: The Godfather Returns #1151
Beginner - Encounter a renewed age for the Mook and the Family when Emile Marcone escapes from the Zig!
- Along Came a... Bug!? #528482
Average - A new race of aliens arrives on Earth. And Vanguard has you investigate them!
- The Court of the Blood Countess: The Rise of the Blood Countess #3805
Advanced - Go back in time and witness the birth of a vampire. Follow her to key moments in her life in order to stop her! A story of intrigue, drama and horror! Blood & Violence... not recommend to solo!
So how does Incarnate buffs affect pets? A lot of normal enhancements don't even work with pets (like proc) but sounds like they do with Incarnates?
Even thugs can fight for the future of Earth O_O
Agreed, Alpha, Interface and Destiny all rock for MMs. Alpha is one of the few ways you can boost pet damage directly or alternatively can give them the Accuracy or Endurance Reduction they need while freeing up slots for other enhancements.
Pets on Defensive tend to split their fire so you get more mileage out of Interface than other ATs regardless of what ability you choose. Reactive in particular is awesome for MMs for the reasons mentioned above.
Destiny also offers some good options for an MM. I took Rebirth on my Bots/Traps which basically gives me a way to fully heal all of my pets every 2 minutes.
Incarnates for Masterminds could almost be classed as overkill. I personally went a cardiac alpha for my demon/traps only because they drain endurance like there's no tomorrow and it also gives me a chance to boost all their resistances without having to use up enhancement slots. But reactive interface for MMs is just absurd in the damage it can deal.
My bot/poison badge hunter has both a T4 Cardiac core and T4 Musculature Radial that he can switch around before mission/TF starts so that he is more optimized for the upcoming fights. If I know it's going to be a lengthy fight where he will be spitting a lot of poison plus running other powers for defense and summoning/equipping bots a lot then Cardiac gets installed. If he's soloing/farming I switch to musculature, sit back and enjoy the carnage.
He currently has Warworks for his Lore Pets but may soon branch out and take some of the newer ones, Rebirth for Destiny, Reactive of course, and T4 Ion Core final judgement to bring down the thunder.
Other MM's I have took seers so that while the bots deal the lasers, photon grenades and missiles they also now have pets that dish out the psi damage. My bot/storm will likely take the Storm Elemental pets for thematic purposes.
Well, the Incarnate powers are good on MM (especially Judgment!!) but the trials aren't so hot.
BAF is a cake.
Lam can be nightmare during weapon/acid part. I can run with others but I find it hard to contribute as the pets are falling behind and by the time they arrive, I am already in trouble. It's doable but very annoying.
Keyes? I haven't even tried it with MM. I don't think I would like it much either. My only Incarnate is Ninja/ff.
What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.

The main issue is keeping your pets from aggroing on Anti-Matter but that's easy to do if you have some basic control binds setup.

Keyes: keep ur MM alive between bursts as last time I ran it the pets didn't take damage from the pulse (note: this may have changed or is a "bug"), be smart and keep them on a leash so they don't aggro Antimatter, and of course there is the Avoids the Green badge issue with pets which is allegedly fixed.
Baf: heh, for my pets it is like skeet shooting (with nukes).
My experience is that Keyes is actually pretty MM friendly, although you probably want a Rebirth Destiny or significant healing in your secondary.

I am Ninja/FF but I do have Aid Self and I am going to pick Rebirth. I just won't try Keyes until I am 50+3.

For Lam, my MM's tend to dismiss pets and use Judgement, Rebirth to help heals, and their secondary powers to aid the others, that way pet aggro or pets falling behind is a non issue. Among my MM's are poison, FF, trap and storm so they can still assist well without the pets. Once the weapon/acid part is cleared, the bots come back out ready for Marauder.

Well, I don't even have the first level shift so even if I am attack, my soldiers won't be doing much damage. I basically just eat purples and try to keep people healed and only use Freezing Rain.
I am not blind though. I know my pets are not contributing much during the 2nd last and the last AV fight. With each super jump from AV, my pets lag behind and die/aggro. By the time they arrive, they are about to run again.
Just because I didn't die, it doesn't mean I did a lot. We had some very experienced players and 53s so it went very smooth.
So during Lam:
1. Elite Turret part is horrible. By the time the pets jump down and arrive, it's almost dead.
2. Weapon/Lab route is horrible. I can try to stay with teammates but my pets certainly aren't doing much damage.
3. The last AV fight is annoying. It depends how much we clear the ambushes/door. With less ambushes around, my pets may deal better damage.

Lore pets are not affected by supremacy, they are thus not able to bodyguard you and so forth.
I went personally as a Necromancy/Dark Miasma to sorta simple route.
Damageboost Alpha. Well, pets aint supreme damagedealers, extra helps allways and other choices were bit... lackluster. Endurance reduction, unneeded. Raised accuracy? Unneeded aswell.
Fireproc Reactive. Because zombie vomit needs to be dangerous, necromancy perhaps aint anywhere as good with this as many aoe damage pet choices where this is much easier to max out.
Void Judgement with mass pbaoe damage, with half damage for thirty secs. It allows you pretty much soak and sustain allmost any mass combat after you get this off.
As Lore I took Vanguard pets and Phantoms just to keep with charachters theme, they are pretty strong hitters. So the extra damage is definately there, but as no Lore pet is affected by recharge reduction 33 percent max present pets are not going to be anything but vanity/tough spot additions
For final slot, Id di take the status resistance one. With this, me, pets are not affected by status effects and its useable even if your stunned or stuck. Though wise people would have it running on auto, if we didnt run hasten allready.
I liked the thoughts about Incarnate slots focusing on resistances, those could be pretty useful with necrobuild and our unique resistance buttons slotted for pets, plus auras. Especially alfastrike the necromancer itself could be perhaps build around more resistance focused idea than most, as to me often everything seem to rely on defence builds.
