Started the timed, one-hour catch the spymaster mission (during which you can either catch him or let him go) with 58 minutes left and an intention to catch him. The mission kicked me as if the hour had completed. Has anyone else experienced this?

Chill.

There seems to be a bug when you need to stop someone from escaping. They become active when you are a good distance away and start running immediately. If he had another path to the exit that didn't go past you, then he may have escaped and you didn't see it. Did you see him say something? That's a clue that the target is on the move.

Quite often when doing a mission in which you need to stop someone from escaping, they'll trigger as you're zoning into the mission, so you may not see them say they're fleeing.

And if the mission is on a multi-level Arachnos map they're also quite likely to reach the nearest elevator before you can get to the same level as them, thus failing the mission, even if you run straight through and ignore all enemies.

The absolutely worst missions in this regard are the "Defeat all Wailers in office: Stop Silvertongue from escaping!" mission from Hardcase, in which the Elite Boss you need to stop often will spawn right next to the elevator on the top floor, and the "Defeat Agent Crimson: Stop Agent Crimson from escaping" from Shadow Spider, in which you need to stop a Hero with Super Speed and seemingly capped Immobilization and Slow Resistrance, who will also flat out ignore all Taunts and attacks while making a beeline for the door. And if there's anything blocking the tunnels, like a horde of Mastermind pets, he may just run straight through the wall and outside of the map.

Thank goodness they added the Autocomplete feature!
