Well I'm even later, but I have some tidbits to add based on feedback at the last Pride event. While Pride is a GLBTQ channel, allies are also perfectly welcome. I should know. I'm a str8 male and they were crazy enough to make me a channel mod too.
Pride is a very social channel. You will find many members willing to alt over, even across servers, to help someone that asks. In addition to the expected large amounts of up to date game info available, there is almost always someone on willing to discuss whatever topics are on your mind. Religion, politics, food, and ancient languages are recent examples of topics I have seen. Naturally we like to mind the game's T rating of course.
So if you've a mind to, come on and join us.

Global channels are cross-server, yes.

And as Silas said, you certainly CAN access Pride on Vigilance or any other European or North American server. Looking forward to seeing you in the channel!

Mostly, my rationale was that this is the forum where the master channel list is stickied at the top, and it seemed the best fit of a number of somewhat bad fits. I suppose the "General" forum might have been better.

I realize it's a little late (last day of the month), but since, at least for 24 more hours, it's Pride Month, I'd just like to remind people that City of Heroes / City of Villains has a global LGBTQ chat channel: Pride
Just type "/chanjoin pride" to join it, and edit your chat window so you can see the channel (or create a new chat window for it).
It's an open channel, so nobody needs an invitation to join.
