Stealth Bots/Trap

Hi everyone, my brother, my son and me are returning players, for the fun of it, we made 3 mastermind, Demon/Thermal, Thugs/Trap and Robot/Trap. Except for the fact that indoor mission are so damn crowded, everything is fine and dandy.

The thing is, when I solo (I'm Bot/Traps) and not yet lvl 26, I remember my old Blaster, stealthing my way and dropping a trip mine at the feet of enemies. I'd like to do the same with my mastermind, I'm just unsure how stealth work nowaday. I see in mids that stealth (powerpool) offer 35 feet stealth (or -35 feet visibility). I havent found any Minions/Lts/Bosses table that say what is their visibility, but I've seend a few thread talking about 55 feet (cap?).

My questions are :

1- What is the visibility of Minions/Lts/Bosses (average) ?

2- I couldnt find stealth augments in mids, is there any ?

3- Can I get stealth to 55 feet with augments ?

4- Does super speed still have a stealth ?

5- Does it stack with stealth ? (required to get to cap?)

I'm mainly asking about stealth because I want to be able to "attack" from stealth, while it seems that you cant attack (drop mine) from invisibility. If you have good suggestion, I'd like to hear it.

And here's the build I'm looking for at the moment, the post is mostly about Stealth, but you may point me at any fault in my build if you want.

1. I dunno, I'd check www.paragonwiki.com

2. I don't really understand the question, but I don't think I need to because we'll get to the bottom line soon enough...

3. See #1.

4. Yes

5. Yes! and yes, to get to pve cap.

If you're a returning player, you may not be aware of the stealth IOs available in travel power IO sets. These are mandatory for me, for all my characters.

So, to bottom line it, you'll be fully pve invis by combining any of 2 of these 3 - Stealth (from Concealment), stealth IO and SS.

I'll say it just to say it, but this won't help against Rikti drones, Rularuu eyeballs, Nemesis snipers and whoever else has +percep.

One more tidbit you should know about the stealth ios, they can be slotted into Sprint (or any sprint variants you may have). Not all of the travel IOs can be slotted that way, the -kb and the slow resists cannot go into Sprint. I always put the stealth io into Sprint (which can take either Celerity (run speed) or Unbounded Leap (jump)) so I can put something else in the travel power. Sprint simply provides a free slot is the way I see it.

Stealth power and the Stealth IO do stack for increase perception range.

The Stealth IO MUST be slotted in super speed to have that stealth effect. Slotting it any other power or travel powers will not have the same effect as super speed.

If traveling in caves becomes too much with super speed on. You can buy a Jet Pack in Grand Ville and as long as you have super speed on with the stealth IO you can fly around and still have the same advantages.

High perception mobs like Snipers and Rikti Drones WILL spot you if you go by them even while super speeding. They will alert others near them that will attack you. So you can end up 1/2 dead just running by a drone and you will now be visible until aggro is removed. So if you run by a drone and are attacked and keep running past other groups of mobs, you will be noticed. You need not to attack back and find a quiet place to let aggro drop and return to stealth mode. You can tell when your good when you turn transparent. When your out of stealth mode you basically looking normal and solid.

Build wise your Robot Traps which is pretty much the premier Mastermind set combo to build for Tankermind concept. There are enough builds and threads on the these forums about tankerminding concept and builds that I won't waste your time.

This is unequivocally incorrect. You can slot the stealth io in sprint and something else in SS and you will absolutely be PVE invis when both are toggled on. I'm not saying "I think", I'm not saying "I'm pretty sure", I'm saying "absolutely". This is how I build 80% of my characters. It works 100% of the time (excepting the aforementioned snipers, et al).
