Stone Armor binds?

Well, as it turns out I'm a novice at binds as well as Stone tanking. After my experience this afternoon playing my new tank, I can think of a few binds that would be very nice to have for this character.

First of all, I've decided to go with TP, which I've used before but not recently. I know there's a bind that will make it easier to use and allows you to click and activate TP at the same time--which of course I've forgotten in the intervening years. So if anyone can tell me what that is I'd appreciate it. Also, is it possible to incorporate Hover into the TP bind as well, so I don't have to turn it on separately?

I thought of a couple of others that would be useful as well, if they're doable. For instance:

A bind that toggles between Rooted and Sprint for quicker travel between spawns in a mission when I'm not in Granite.

Something that toggles between the SA armors (I'm taking Rock, Crystal and Minerals) and Granite so I don't have to turn the three armors on separately.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don't use that bind myself but I think it went something like /bind shift+lbutton "powexec_name teleport". Since I play with a game pad (Belkin Nostromo N52) I always have my travel power in position 6 on the bottom tray so I just tap that key on the gamepad and then click on the spot I want to TP to. Adding Hover is another matter; I'm not sure it's possible with the game commands to bind two power activations on one key. I get around that by clicking on Hover before I start TP'ing across a zone.

This one is easy, it's an adaptation of one I use on every character with Super Jump to toggle between Combat Jumping and Super Jump. In your case it would be /bind whatever key "powexec_name rooted$$powexec_name sprint". Whenever you press the key you'll toggle from rooted to sprint and back again. Beware of dropping your mez protection in combat though!

This isn't possible with the in game bind function, you'd need a third party macro program. A game pad can be set up with complex macros to do many things at once; I set up a macro that for example would allow me to activate all the toggles on an Invuln tanker with one button. It did get pretty complex with the activate power x, delay y period, activate power z, delay... you get the picture. Alas that isn't possible with the tools we're given in game.

I do have a bind to toggle between Rock Armor & Granite, it works the same way the travel one does. /bind key "powexec_name rock armor$$powexec_name granite armor" Unfortunately you'd have to manually activate the other armors. One shortcut may be to bind the Rock/Granite one to say x and bind crystal armor to c and minerals to v... that way you hit x, c, v and you're armored up.

The bind I use for teleport is the one CMA mentioned /bind lshift+lbutton "powexecname Teleport". Funny enough, my stone armor tank is the only Teleporting toon that doesn't use hover. If he falls, who cares? He's a tank.

Going between Rooted and Sprint, I'd suggest looking up rotating binds. I haven't bothered playing with them much, but that might work fairly well for you. Since turning on one of those powers cancels out the other, I general just hit activate the power, where ever it lies in my tray.

As for toggling on all your armors, you can't quite do what you're looking for in a single button push. You could probably do it in two button presses. Kheldian binds are a great example of this. Using the "toggleon" command should set you up fairly nicely. I'll poke around and see if I can find the Binds I used for my one Kheldian.

This might work for you if you change it to your suiting.

/bind lctrl+\ "+down$$powexectoggleon "Rock Armor"$$powexectoggleon "Crystal Armor"$$powexectoggleon Minerals"

The "+" allows the down press of the key to toggle on one power, the release another power. You must press and hold the key for a moment. Since you're setting it up for the press and release to do a function, I've got down as the companion for Rock Armor.

The bind as it's written should Toggle on Minerals on the first down press, on the release Toggle on Crystals. On the second down press it should turn on Rock Armor, and try move you "down" on the release. You can rearrange it so that the first thing the bind does is turn on Rooted, before you drop out of Granite and toggle on the other armors.

If you weren't aware of this: Turning on Granite will toggle off all the other toggle Armors. IE. Rock, Crystal, Mineral and Brimstone. It will also toggle off Sprint, Ninja run, Super Speed, Fly and Super Jump, Hover and Combat Jumping. Turning on any of those will drop you out of Granite.

Hope that helps. "D

here is the one I use for teleport

I also use this for any target aoe powers I have by just changing the name of the power and what key resets the bind.

I just modified this to turn on 7 toggles on my WP by pushing the same button repeatedly. This prevent turning toggles back off when the game is lagging
It only works for me with powexec_toggleon though.

Thanks, everyone! I got the Rooted/Sprint toggle and the basic Teleport bind up and running. As for Hover, I think I'll bind it to a key so I can turn it on with the keyboard quickly--I hate fumbling around trying to find the right icon in the tray, which is why I wanted the Rooted/Swift bind.

I don't have the other armors (or Granite) yet, so I'll have to wait a bit before trying out the one that turns on the other armors when you come out of Granite. I did just remember, however, that I got some Kheldian binds that you can use switching forms, and one of them toggled on the humanform armors. I recall that it required you to press the key for each armor, so that's obviously the way to go.

Thanks again, everyone!
