Crazy 88s idea: Test server

Have the 88s thought to burn tons of money on test server to see if there's a cap on prestige? If not, let's totally do this. I know there's a lot of you that have 10+ billion sitting on characters that you could just copy over repeatedly.

I doubt anyone can copy over 10+ billion on a single character, since the cap is 2 billion. Remember that the Market is seperate from the game servers, and so is Email. That means anything you have stored in either of those locations doesn't copy over with you. That means many transfers would be needed, which sounds like a painful process, especially when transfers to test have a bad habit of getting lost for several hours before arriving.

1. Queue Character 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 for copy
2. Log in to test server
3. Trasnfer inf to market/SG character or have all characters in SG
4. Burn inf
???
5. I think you get it.

My point was that you can only transfer 2 billion at a time, not the multiple billions that the OP suggested, and that the copy process can be VERY slow. And the 88's burned hundreds, if not thousands of billions of Inf. If the cap were 2 billion Prestige, as I've seen hypothesized, it would take 1 trillion Inf, or 500 capped characters being transferred. If it takes more than 2 billion Prestige, it would take proportionately more transfers.

Are YOU patient enough to make that many character copies?

Edit: Ignoring the time it would take to delete each serverfull of clones and copy over a new set, and assuming you logged in and zoned in instantly, the 30 second logout timer alone would take 250 minutes, or just over four hours.

Well, yes, it takes some time, just like it takes time to hit 2 billion prestige on a Live server. That is supposedly why he's asking for multiple people to do this rather than himself alone.

I don't see an issue here. Marketeers complete boring and repetitive tasks all the time. I'm not telling you to want to do this, I'm saying that If you do want to, you could easily do it. I personally don't care about burning Inf. I find it entertaining that you folks do, but that's as far as my involvement goes.

My bad, I forgot that market transactions break when you copy over.

Still, I think it'd be fun and slightly easier to do then live because you don't have to constantly make money, just copy over money repeatedly.

It's actually (2^n-1)-1, or (2^31)-1 = 2,147,483,647 max positive value for 32 bit. But I can see why they capped it at 2 billion even. lol.

2*10 = 20

2^10 = 1024

Even 2E+10 would be wrong, as that would be 20 billion.

Sitting pretty at #41 (73mil prestige), you guys are still more then welcome to join me

After a generous donation by one Chaos Creator, the 88s are now sitting pretty at #23. Would love some help to get it moving faster

Looks like 2 billion is not the cap from that screenshot, since Evil Souls has 2,003,793,500 prestige.
