Well, honestly, if that was the reason for this thread - there are tons of other threads on the topic of "all the good names are taken by slacker, no-good trial accounts" where you can see that discussion over and over and over and over...

Very well if you really want to know I have never had an issue naming a character. Well that's a little misleading I have issues coming up with a name to use however once I find a name it has never been taken.

I'm a firm believer that the only solution to the naming "problem" should be creativity.

Except now there is (hopefully) a huge influx of new players taking names so the conditions of the topic have changed.

You can turn that around though. The Djinn (I'd probably call him Djimm ) fights crime on his own time when he's not granting wishes to his master.

I'm with the superhero/villain crowd on this one though. Unless the character concept calls for it (like Olivia Onyx: Earth/Earth Dominator with crystal animations colored black) I tend to have Superhero names.

I'm with you SilverAgeFan! And I agree it's high time this game went to a non-unique naming scheme. When trying out the competition, that's the one thing I felt they did better. It was a real joy to get the name I wanted with no muss, no fuss. When making a new character in this game, it really can feel like jumping through hoops to get something that sounds good enough and is available. That's just not fun!
