Constant Freezing after NCLauncher

Posted

On my Mac (I trust this part of the forum is for both Windows and Mac), I have never bothered to switch to NCLauncher. The game has worked fine, but ever since I've bothered to switch, the game freezes after a random time of playing. The screen stops, the sound continues, the computer stops. Meaning, I can't Force Quit or use a keyboard command. Now I can't guarantee it's the Launcher, but that is the most recent chance to my computer and, as said, it's worked fine before the change. It works fine with my PC, but I want my Mac to work too. Also let my just say that I am not very computer savvy, so if you know what I could do please dumb it down for me please.

Set the Launcher to close after loading the game.

There is a known memory leak that affects PC's and I'd assume it's there on the Mac as well.

You may be able to get better information/responses if you post this in the Mac section of the forums.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

I'll give closing the Launcher after loading up a try, and if it doesn't work, I'll take it to the Mac forum, thank you for the help.

I tried this after constant crashes myself.

It still crashes.

I learned its not the Launcher, its things like viewing people's info, talking to contacts, and opening menus like missions, badges, and other things. Anyone know why that happens?

Possibly on the Mac forums?

I know that the Mac client has a few .... quirks .... that the Windows client doesn't have. I'm just not sure what all of them are since I don't use a Mac.

Some of that could be related to driver support on the Mac platform as well, specifically the video drivers.
