Corrupted/Switching textures

Well, the game on my last computer looked like this, just before the video card died.

Are you running current drivers? Have you made any hardware changes recently that may have affected the draw on your power supply?

I'm still getting corrupt textures after only half an hour of play. Speedfan isn't helping, because I don't know how to use the damn thing.
I have an ATI Radeon HD 4800. Now that's out of the way. I think it might have fried. I can run City of Heroes fine, but earlier the textures rapidly started fizzing out and changing to other stuff. I restarted, and the same thing happens.

I read another thread that offered suggestions, like running Speedfan. But that's not going to help if it looks like this:
I tried some other games, and there are some very minor issues like textures fidgeting instead of glitching, but that's never happened before anyway.
