Trying To Make Something Special - Not Sure I got It Yet

I have a lot of toons at level 50 but I don't think I have that special toon yet - you know - a solo the ITF type of toon. I have one that can almost solo the ITF but she needs a friend for the last AV. So, could this be it? I don't have a good handle on making blasters so I could use some help from the blaster community to help finish this off or call it off before I spend the billions.

ITF soloing is an unusual way to measure a build partly because that mainly comes down to player skill and tenacity on the last mission. If you know how to pull Rom without his friends you don't really need an especially fancy build at all, you only have to overcome an av's regen four times: a trifle for fire/mm. By tenacity I mean that if I got to Rom and botched the single pull I'd probably just declare the thing a loss and get on with my life, yet it does remain quite winnable with redoubled effort and shiny incarnate powers.

At any rate, the build seems fine. I would take two of the slots out of stamina, slotting the remaining two with generic end mods, and put one slot each into weave and maneuvers. Something tells me that if all you did was slot generic end reducers in those you'd come out better right there, but def/ends of some sort would get them a bit closer to being ed capped and maybe you could lose a bonus somewhere if you were so inclined. Even if this didn't by itself improve your endurance situation, the point is that as a mental blaster you have access to the best endurance recovery tool available to blasters and shouldn't be shy about using it. In fact, I hope you're extremely comfy with drain psyche, because if you're planning to solo TFs you're going to be getting a heck of a lot of mileage out of it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I see what you mean about the ITF. I could solo it with any number of my toons then if done that way then. My two man team didn't use any pulls. So what would be the current yard stick for doing something special, I can solo AVs and GMs with some of my toons but I have not solo'ed a TF of any sort yet.

Oh I think most people in the game would be amply impressed were you to solo an AV, saying nothing of an entire TF with loads of AVs in it. Especially on a blaster, no matter how you did it. I suspect you could solo a GM if you really dialed the build in to do exactly that to a specific GM, but it would be so far beyond tedious that I'd be more impressed by your personal stamina than you blasting ability.

On a similar note, I bet a fire/mm can just fight rom on the stairs and win, especially if you have the right tier 3 and 4 incarnate powers, but man oh man you'd be engaging in some jumbo sized trial and error getting that one right. Maybe you're into that, that's cool. It isn't weird. Okay, not that weird...

Though now that I think about it... tier 4 rebirth, victoria, musculature, drain psyche, and a selection of super inspirations (not the ultimate inspiration, that would be cheating) would probably knock rom down pretty fast and at that point you're home free. This could be crazy enough to work.

You can save a slot by one-slotting Super Speed. It's plenty fast on it's own by default and you already have Fly as a travel power. So just put the Botz in Super Speed, place that extra slot somewhere where a sweet bonus would come into play and call it day.

I would agree the ITF is an unusual test for alt uberness. Usually, it's if you can solo AVs, take down a Rikti Pylon or solo the Scrapper Test. If you can take down the ITF by yourself you would be in rarified air, especially on a Blaster. For all my 50s, I think only my Brute could solo the ITF. My scrapper wouldn't be able to withstand the Nictii (Nictuses?).

Now with Incarnate powers added in, it should be a whole lot easier. At Tier 3s on all, you've level-shifted to the point where the ambushes won't phase you. You can get a Victoria boss to tank Rom and go to town on him with your blasts. Barrier will be there for those emergencies with a nice Judgment AoE to decimate the ambushes.

Yeah....hmmm. Think I might roll a Fire Blaster

The potential problem with vicky on Rom is that she becomes a source of healing from the heal nictus. And how long can she survive the AoE pulses from the damage nictus (I forget if those are autohit or not, but they are brutal either way)?

Edit: for clarity, I'm asking on both counts. I don't really know how well it would work, I'm not naysaying.

"Hmm, I guess I'm not as omniscient as I thought" -Gavin Runeblade.
I can be found, outside of paragon city here.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.

One pet tanking on Rom won't give enough of a heal boost to overcome the DPS of both you and the Vicky. Considering she can crit and placate with dual blade DPS, she's probably the best pet to use on Rom.

I don't have the numbers but I've seen my Vicky take down a boss level Commander and his missile barrage on a Lambda run without issue. Vickies are sick@!!

So, what about this build? More tweaks?
