HELP! Game Stability Issues (I Think)
Shut down the NCSoft launcher after starting the game.
Choose *one* real time virus/spyware monitoring program and shut down the other two.
Here is a good guide by Hyperstrike, to assist in setting up the launcher to shut down after launch.

I would keep AVG running, its pretty good protection and isn't resource hungry. You can also setup AVG, (as well as most others), to bascially ignore the COH programs. Look in the options area, or advanced options for that feature in AVG or whichever one you choose to keep running.
More than one malware program may cause issues as Starcloud said. Its ok to have more than one, in fact some will catch problems others miss, but they shouldn't be running concurrently. Spyware/malware and antivirus programs aren't really the same thing, although some will do both depending on which programs your running.
Also:
I was having similar problems. It turns out the culprit was an NVIDIA driver. I had an update a few days ago, and was about 1.2GB of RAM usage as well in game.
I rolled back to the previous driver, and have gone back to 800MB.

Can't come up with a name? Click the link!
Thx for replying all. I ended up just buying a new comp....my comp was 6+ years old it was time for a new one. I love my new fancy gaming laptop
*warning i am not tech savy*
So I have been playing CoH since day one and have never had such bad problems before with the game :/ I have gotten this message a couple times:
./piggs/fonts.pigg: Failed memory allocation
Read failed for file: fonts/msgothic.ttc
-1
The game ran out of memory and must now exit.
along with the game crashing, whole comp rebooting, whole comp crashing, lag, pausing, ect over the last say 30 days
One thing I have noticed just this say past week is the RAM usage. It has usually hovered around 750 MB with the game running but now it starts around 1 GB and climbs to about 1.5 GB before it crashes. I use to be able to play all day and never go over 1 GB.
I have 3 GB of RAM /w 32 bit. I play on performance mode for graphics settings. I also use game booster when I play. I cannot get CoH Helper to work for me which i know is a whole other tech issue. I have .Net Framework 2.0 not sure why it wont run for me? I did run hijack here is that info:
