Binds on a mac

I want to learn to make those binds on the Mac that read txt files. The thing is, I can follow the directions if I played on a PC, I know the PC, but I am fairly new to the mac (7 months) and would like some help, maybe just a brief lesson very simple to start me on my way.

Find your CoH icon, and right click it, then click on "View package contents". Now navigate to "Contents/Resources/transgaming/c_drive/coh/", make a new folder called Data, and put your text binds in there. The game automatically scans the Data directory when you use /bindloadfile name.txt, so as long as they are there, it should load them.

Hey gang I am trying to do this and keep getting no strings....trying to have a bind lead to another bind of local chat and powexec. I am following both examples here to no resolve. I get the power to fire and the first phrase to be stated but the second bind file won't load.

After a lot of tinkering, the closest I got to success was to move by bind files to the C-drive folder (I do not have a d) and set my command as such:
taunt1
g "local taunting words$$powexecname Taunt$$bindloadfile c:/taunt2.txt

taunt2
g "local more taunting words$$powexecname Taunt$$bindloadfile c:/taunt1.txt

then I made a bind:
/bind g "local taunting words$$powexecname Taunt$$bindloadfile c:/taunt2.txt

I get the following error message:
bind "{\fonttbl\f0\fswiss\fcharset0" "ArialMT;\f1\fswiss\fcharset0 Helvetica;}"
bind

Usage:bind takes 2 args, you gave 1.
Binds a key to a command - 'bind k ++forward' will set k to toggle running forward.
bind <string> <string>
Unable to read in keybind file: c:/taunt2.txt"}
bind \f0 $$powexecname Taunt$$bindloadfile c:/taunt2.txt"}
Keybinds file loaded: c:/taunt1.txt

Anyone? I tweaked this about a dozen different ways and in different folders with no luck. Then I tried it on a PC laptop and got it to work. Anyone have ideas? I know in my sample above there is no end quote, but that is just a typo in my posting here in the forums.

Solved:

I emailed copies of the bind files I made in the PC. The files must be MAC Plain Text encoding in order to work, I had converted original files from rich text format to a .txt but it didn't save as the proper type extension.
