PvP noob needs help for a duel
make an Elec/Therm corr and just punish the hell out of his blue bar.

An Elec/Therm? Interesting. Is warmth really enough to keep me alive, though - or do the toggles really drop that fast?
As for a /WP brute...I have a WP/Fire tanker who got flattened by an SD/SS tanker in a duel. Stupid rage tohit. Since brutes are generally squishier still...not sure that would work.
Anyway, I threw together a build for an Elec/Regen scrapper. With the higher hit points it seems to benefit more from Regen. Picked up Flurry and Kick, because mids tell me they have 1300 and 900 damage (Sidenote: WTF o___O) - if there's some mistake there and I shouldn't use them, I'd pick up Jacob's Ladder and Lightning Rod instead (slotted with Oblits)
The build has 40% meelee defense, which I know gets surpressed in PvP - I wasn't sure by how much or just what I should be aiming for, so I aimed at the usual def cap. Really need some input here.
Tohit seems key to beating a tanker, so I took Body Mastery for Focused Accuracy, as well as tactics, slotted the kismet +6% as well. Chance for Build up in tactics is always lulzy, even in PvE.
650% Regen, 57% global recharge... so, um, yeah. Please savagely critique since I have no idea what I'm doing :3 If you offer a modified build, please keep in mind that I'm on a budget, so no purples or PvP recipes.
Again, your help is very much appreciated.

Melee vs Melee duels usually end in a stalemate unless one person decides to just sit there and take it. In that case, build for a lot of recharge and procs. Elec melee isn't too good for PvP (aside from stalkers), so you'll need all the help you can get when going up against a big bag of HP like a tank.

Information is ammunition.
Posting your build is good.
Posting HIS is better.
Weight training: Because you'll never hear someone lament "If only I were weaker, I could have saved them."
Elec/therm is wiked.. espiecially if he is using any melee.. his end will drop so fast and all his toggles..
if you dont like that though, you can go elec/fire dom....

Hello, everyone; I am a total and utter noob when it comes to PvP, having stuck so far mostly with PvE and RP. Yes, RP, you may laugh now
Anyway, said RP has led me to a storyline that will likely end in a duel
and I have no intention of losing, and so have decided to roll a duel-viable build.
Since itll be an alt of one of my existing characters, it needs to have an elec primary or secondary AT is up in the air. My opponent will be an SS/Invul tanker (who, thankfully, is not a PvPer hirself, and slotted for PvE), although whatever I roll should be good not only against that, but in duels in general.
Basically, my question is what will be a good AT/powerset and what should my slotting goals be (without purples and PvP recipes)? So far, Ive been leaning toward Elec/Regen stalker or scrapper but decided to ask people who actually know the first thing about PvP.
Your input is very much appreciated
PS: Reading up on the forums, people keep saying that Flurry/Kick are useful in duels and should be slotted is that true? Not quite following that one.
