/Regen question

Should I build my /regen scrapper for +Def or +Regen when he's 50?

Is it viable to build it for +regen for end game raids? I want to build it to it's strengths but not sure if it can be done to a decent level.

Recharge for perma DP and whatever attack chain you are aiming for. Def after that.

This. Regen it is nice, but you'll find plenty of it in your secondary. The recharge will keep your clicks popping regularly, while the defense will help you avoid damage in the first place.

Damn ok. I was hoping to make Hulk like guy that can passively regen faster than damage thrown at him but I guess that's not a good idea.

Thanks for the tips.

That's a /wp brute, or even WP tank. Giving /regen more regen does so very little for the build. It wants recharge for the clicks, which in part gives regen with health. Outside of that, it wants def because it's basically naked to any damage type so you are always getting hit and getting hit for near the full amount.

You can still "passively" regenerate awfully quickly on a high end Regen build by spamming Instant Healing and Rebirth. But I agree with Amy Amp that you may want to look at a Willpower Brute or Tanker. I think it'll be much closer to what you're after.

Pretty much EVERYTHING you need to know about regen can be found in my post named Sword//regen scrapper Help?
Think it's called can't remember but there's A LOT of info there that would help you

It is a good idea, just not for the trials. When you have thousands of points of damage being thrown at you every few seconds it just goes way beyond what you can heal back before it kills you.

Adding some defense will make your passive regen idea more feasible. If you aren't being hit by EVERYTHING, your regen will be better able to keep up with what you ARE being hit by.

For the record, you only need 55% global recharge and 3 slotted Hasten for perma DP. So after reaching that point you can start focusing on defense.

I've always been a little fuzzy on Global Recharge. How much of the Spirtutal Total Core Revamp applies to the globe recharge goal of 55%? The 15% that ignores ED?

But still I fear and still I dare not laugh at the madman!

The part that ignores ED can be considered global recharge, yes. However, even the part affected by ED improves recharge some. Spiritual Core Paragon, for instance, is at least +32.25% recharge, more for powers that aren't already heavily recharge-enhanced.

Groovy. I guess if I really want to know, I check the recharge on powers before and after slotting Spiritual.
